My other concern was the price; it''s not cheap. But then I remembered all the water bottles I''ve accumulated over the years, (I have Contigo AUTOSEAL Water Bottle 32 oz. Blue, Contigo AUTOSEAL Stainless Steel Water Bottle 28 oz. Silver, and Contigo AUTOSEAL Kangaroo Water Bottle with Storage Compartment 24 oz. Blue, plus various ones I''ve picked up in stores, some of which leaked, all of them sweated and soaked everything they came in contact with. This does NOT leak and it does NOT sweat!I am glad I splurged, and I think I''m ready to get rid of my collection of water bottles.
Hydro Flask keeps cold drinks very cold, even after being left in a closed car under direct sun for hours. I haven''t tried coffee in it yet, but I have no doubt it will keep it hot equally well.
All in all, very pleased with this purchase.I have to pass this one on, because I tried it and it does EXACTLY what it claims to do.
It''s already going to be 101+ today, and it''s only April 25 -so I''m guessing very large, very cold drinks are going to be the safety-net this summer.
This one made an outlandish claim that it would keep icy cold drinks -not just cool, but ICY -for 24 hours. So I got one. I filled it yesterday afternoon with ice to the top -and then poured no-sugar, no artificial sweetener, no artificial color, no preservative, electrolyte replacing sports drink up to the top. And I sat it in the floor and forgot about it it.
Today I open it up, and it is still full of ice TO THE TOP. Nothing is melted, diluted, luke warm or smelly.
No breakable and un-safe glass vacuum bottle. No wimpy 2 layers of aluminum or even stainless steel. This one has the 2 THICK layers of stainless, with about 1/4" of dead air between them. With 40oz of liquid -it''s a bit heavy, but 40oz of liquid alone is almost to heavy to lift one handed, so not much dif.
It does exactly what it claims. And it fits in the cup holder.
Lookout summer! :D

I have ordered three of these bottles. Two of them both had warped steel around the lip of the bottle which means the rubber seal does not fit flush with the rim resulting in bad leaks and big messes. That having been said, the third bottle insulates surprisingly well and 40oz is the perfect size for me. In theory it is exactly the type of water bottle I was looking for. But even on the third non-leaking bottle, the rubber piece that fits around the lid has already come loose and makes opening and closing the bottle difficult. In sum the idea behind this bottle is great, the insulation works extremely well, but the fact that two in a row for me leaked and the third has a defective design in the lid has reduced my rating to two stars. Considering the price, and for an otherwise sturdy feeling product, I would think these issues would not be present.

I purchased an 18oz polar white wide-mouth bottle. It looks great and does the job of keeping my water cold for a good period of time. The only draw back is that it LEAKS!!! I''ve tried tightening the cap as far as it can go, but there must be a gap in the sealant some where. I emailed Hydro Flask via their website, but received no response from them. Sorry, but I can''t recommend their product.Want Hydro Flask Insulated Wide Mouth Stainless Steel Drinking Bottle Discount?
Granted I''ve only had it for 2-3 weeks so far, I''m really digging it. It''s very large, which means it''s not something you''d take the gym but is great for pretty much any other endeavor. If you fill it with ice, you will still have ice 24 hours later, even using it rather aggressively (I drink water pretty much all day every day). I haven''t had trouble over tightening the cap and not being able to get it open, as I have with other water bottles. The large mouth can obviously take large ice cubes. The only problem I see in the future is possibly scratching or scuffing the powder coat, I guess if you''re worried about that get the stainless version.
