Nalgene Articulated Bite Valve with Magnet Water Bottle

Would be 5 stars but it is a replacement.

Had bladder for just over a year and the bite valve it came with was leaking. Dealt with the slow leak for about 3 months. Finally ordered a new one. Should have done it sooner. It is soooooo much nicer riding my MTB now without having to make sure the shut-off is in the perfect position. Hope this one last longer then the last.

FYI....I use this at least 2 times a week over 2 hours each use, under heavy abuse conditions. MTBing single-track trails, jumps/bumps and crashes. Think I got my $''s worth but its still difficult to separate me from my cash.

The bite valve that came with my pack split within a year or so, and I replaced it with this one, which fits my pack''s thinner (than camelbak''s) tubing. This is a $25 pack from Costco, which I love. This valve works great, and with the magnet stays handy without flapping about. I''ve just bought another for my wife''s pack. Note that this will probably not fit a camelbak, which uses thicker tubing.

I bought this as a replacement to retro-fit a Camelbak bladder. I have an Osprey Raptor hydration pack that has this bite valve on it, and love the magnetic holder that keeps the hose in placve on the sternum strap, so I bought this to upgrade my old camelbak that I use for hiking now. Works like a charm!

This was an OEM replacement for my nalgene bladder and I''m extremely happy with it. I received the one I wanted (even though the picture shows a couple different ones)and yes, it came with an extra magnet. Now I don''t have to switch everything between big pack and day pack. I really like the shut-off feature and the magnetic mount. Usually when I''m riding (or hiking,) I just spit out the bite-valve when I''m done drinking and it finds it''s own way back to its holder, this is really convenient while riding on the trail.
