Nalgene Silo Tritan Wide Mouth 48 Oz Travel Bottle

This is the perfect size for me. I don''t have to carry two smaller bottles on day hikes anymore, this one holds plenty. It''s the same width as the 32 oz (so it fits in the same holsters) and is maybe 4 inches taller. Wide mouth is always good for cleaning too. Mine was a really fair price, I got my single tinted bottle for $11.95. And it''s made in the U.S.A!

The Nalgene Silo Tritan Water Bottle has proven to be a invaluable tool to maintain an adequate level of hydration. The 48 oz (1.5 Quart)may seem like too much water, and for many I believe this is so. I am a larger person, and finally found a water bottle that holds enough to last for a day. There have been no issues with its construction since purchasing the bottle two months ago, despite heavy use. The water bottle feels comfortable in my large hands, but my wife finds it far too large and cumbersome.

It is constructed of BPA free polyethylene plastic, which is crack shatter and odor resistant. I would normally throw bottles away after a week or two of use. This bottle has been going for two months with no smells clinging to the plastic.

I got two of these Nalgene Bottles (48oz or 1.4Litres) for my husband and I to bring to work. We recently got the Alkaline Water System (KYK Gen II) Seven Plate KYK Genesis Home Water Filter and Ionizerinstalled in our homes and wanted to consume the alkaline water at work as well. It was recommended to use a BPA-free bottle to store alkaline water.

I found this great BPA-free bottle with a volume capacity that was sufficient to last my working hours. Still need to top up with regular water occasionally but it is still a good size. It''s a bit heavy to carry around. Noted in another review (by another buyer), that the bottle might crack if you accidentally dropped it when it contains a full 1.4 litres.

Why Nalgene? It''s quite sturdy and have good reviews as compared to other BPA-free bottle brands. A good investment.
