placed a water bottle below the filter, turned on the water and dip away.

As product manager, I travel to China and other parts of Asia on business frequently; typically 4-5 trips a year. There were few occasions that I''d gotten sick on the trip, so I carefully choose where I get the water and food there.I''d purchased this PurifiCup on Amazon. First impression was its simple to use, and the water tasted very good, both my wife and I thought the filtered water from this tasted better then the Pitcher filter we have in the house.
So, I brought this "cup" on my trip to Shenzhen China for a week; and gladly return home in Hawaii without once having upset stomach. I''d used it at every restaurant to run the tap water they served. Also at Hotel faucets, twice at the airport to fill my reused water bottle, which is another great design that the filter housing screws right on a regular water bottle, so I can get clean water directly into a bottle.
I highly recommend this product for anyone who travels!

We took 2 of these on vacation with us to Universal Studios, Orlando. One thing I aways hated about traveling was that the tap water in different cities tastes "off" to me, reminding me that I am not at home. It was nice to set one of these filters up in the bathroom of the hotel and get pure tasting water to brush your teeth. We could have opened the bottled Fiji water left by the hotel, but that would have cost $7 each. So we saved a lot of money right there over the course of the trip. Before going to the parks each day, we used these filters to fill up our own water bottles. The upper filter screws onto the top of an ordinary water bottle, forming a nice seal. Making our own filtered water each day was a definite convenience, since drinks were not included in the meal plan we purchased, and bottled water was selling in the parks for $3.75 each. The filters are made of light plastic and fit easily into our backpack, so we could use them to refill our water bottles from the public drinking fountains without worrying about germs or taste.
Over our 3 days at the parks, I''d estimate that we saved about $45 that we would have otherwise spent to buy water on the go. One or two trips and this product will pay for itself.I used to bring three water bottles (16.9fl oz) with me to school. Now, PurifiCup is my new discovery. It''s a good replacement. It saves my money and space. Of course, it''s much lighter.
