Sigg Sport Classic Water Bottle (0.6-Liters)

Sigg Lifestyle Sport Top Water BottleI''ve had a SIGG bottle for just over a year now and absolutely love it. I recommend them to everyone. They are lightweight and easy to clean with the SIGG "bottle clean" tablets, but you can also just clean them with soap and water. The aluminum leaves no weird taste in the water (unless you leave water in the bottle for a really long time, but that will happen in any water bottle). SIGG bottles are environmentally friendly, too--when you don''t want it anymore, just throw it in the recycling as you would an aluminum can. The sport top can take a little getting used to since you have to kind of push it in with your lips in kind of a funny way, but I use mine all the time and love it. (My boyfriend doesn''t like it, so he has a regular cap for his SIGG.) You can also just unscrew the sport cap to take a drink, if you prefer. Some stores sell the regular caps, which have a circular top so you could attach the bottle to a backpack or other gear. I really like the .6L size and find that it is perfect for throwing in my gym bag or keeping at my desk, but some like a larger or smaller size. (SIGG bottles come in a .3 and .4L size for kids, too!) SIGGs come in a whole slew of patterns, colors and sizes, so you can find one that is just right for your style. These make a great present for an athlete or outdoorsperson, or for someone who just really likes water and the environment!

This is an upscale designer water bottle, top of the line in every way. The designs of Sigg''s water bottles are gorgeous--even the plain, solid color bottles are beautiful--but the ones with designs are even better, in my opinion. I like to choose a pattern that reflects me. This one is a black on white mythical design, which isn''t me, but it may be just what you''re looking for!

I switched from regular plastic water bottles because of health concerns, even though I thought a permanent bottle like this would take more work to maintain. These do necessitate regular cleaning (I clean mine every day), but having something so beautiful to drink from makes the cleaning less of a chore. Sort of like my rings, glasses, and watch, I now consider my Sigg personal water bottle a vital accessory, reminding me to drink more water, making a statement about my values, and expressing myself with a special design.

Sigg of Switzerland water bottles are very high quality, made of light aluminum on the outside, slightly insulated, and covered with a special powder coat on the inside that prevents any leaching whatsoever, unlike plastic and polycarbonate water bottles. They are light, durable, and perfect for any activity. Well water tastes spectacular in these bottles, just like from the tap. They do dent if dropped on a hard surface at a particular angle, but Sigg fans (including me) view this as a type of "seasoning", so that your bottle acquires character. The dents are on the outside layer of the bottle, not the inside layer and so don''t interfere with any functionality.

Sigg bottles come with several different types of tops. This particular bottle has a sports top. I''m not the biggest fan of the sports top, preferring a screw top, but this works conveniently when you don''t want to take the time to unscrew the top for a drink. It is leak proof.

Sigg makes their personal water bottle in many sizes. I use the .6L size as my basic every day size, and keep it in my briefcase. It is a bit too large for my purse, although if you carry a tote it is an ideal size. It is also good for sports activities that require less water, like shorter walks. For my car and other uses I use the larger 1L size.

This bottle may seem expensive, but it is so durable that you can plan on it lasting many years. I consider Sigg bottles both an accessory and an investment in my health, so they are well worth it value-wise for me.

Note that Sigg water bottles should not be used to contain boiling water, as this will damage the outer coating. They also cannot be left in the freezer, as it may crack. They can be used for carbonated beverages, if you leave about a half inch of room at the top.

Highly recommended.

Buy Sigg Sport Classic Water Bottle (0.6-Liters) Now

I was disappointed to have purchased this water bottle with the understanding that it was BPA-free but recently SIGG has come out with a statement saying it is not. You havee to look at the color of the lining to determine if it is the old or new lining. This one has the old lining.

I got this bottle with the sport top for my daughters. I actually bought two, one for each of my daughters. My daughters had the regular tops on sigg bottles and they were driving me crazy asking me to open them for them every other minute. The funny thing is both bottles came with different types of sports tops. One sports top twists to open. My 5 year old is able to easily twist it to open and close. The other came with a active top that needs to be pressed to release the water. This works well for my 3 year old b/c once I taught her how to press it down for a drink, she can easily get a drink and it closes automatically so there are no leaks. We''ve only used our bottles for water, but they work great. Only problem we''ve had so far is that they dent really easily. We haven''t done anything rough with them, but I''ve noticed they''ve already picked up some slight dents just from being carried around.
