This thing is a joke. All I can think of is whoever devised the connection must be sadistic.I read the reviews and saw what a pain someone had with it. Ordered it anyway. Mine came without the spacer and in a package that looked repacked. I had to use some spacer material I had on hand, and even then it wouldn''t snug properly. Blindly screwing a screw through two holes, a bent, loose piece of metal, and then through a final nut is pathetic engineering. And it never did fit tight. This bottle cage mount is adjustable so that you can mount it to your handlebars, your seat post, or your frame. The strap comes with three different holes, and in theory you can just straighten out the strap at the part that comes already bent (i.e. in the position used for a handlebar mount) and then bend it near the last hole to mount it on the frame. There is a nut welded to the strap, so you can match the desired hole up with the end with the nut on it and then screw the mounting piece to it. It seems simple enough. However, the screw that attaches the mounting piece to the strap is so short that you have to really bend the strap ends up so that they fit inside the mounting piece. When the ends are aligned and bent up enough, you can then screw in the screw. I''m sure this is not hard to do if you have lots of experience mounting things on bike frames. For me, it was difficult and it took quite a while to get it in place. That said, it does hold my water bottle cage very nicely. I will not, though, try to move it any time soon.

It does the job but my the rubber padding to make it stick isn''t enough, I had to go to a hardware store to get some extra to make it stay. it''s good but it just wasn''t a perfect fit.Read Best Reviews of Minoura Strap-on Bottle Cage Mount (22.2mm to 35mm Tubes) Here
I searched FOREVER for something to allow me to put a water bottle cage on my bike. My bike is a racer from the 80''s so it didn''t have the little nuts braised on. No bike shops had anything close to this. I did not want it to go on my handlebars or on my seat post, which there are plenty out there for that. After looking for months I found this (and even on Amazon it took me a while to find it)... this is really good quality and does the job very well! It would be nice if it wouldn''t project the cage out so far, but it allowed me to have a water bottle on my bike so I don''t really care, and there is no way around it anyway.I recommend it highly!
