The screw-on cap is a little ''sticky'' to tighten, probably will loosen up with some use. Most important, this bottle is air-tight when the cap is tight and the stopper is snapped down. Many bottles have leaky seals but this one is good.Another good feature is that the stopper stays put either up or down. I''ve had bottles where the stopper is somewhat indeterminate when pulled loose from the down/closed position, and it''s annoying because the flow varies and the nozzle dribbles. These bottles have a very positive snap action and you absolutely know which open/closed status you''re dealing with.
The clear top lets you monitor the inevitable darkening of buildup, and clean as appropriate before a serious layer of dark gunk develops.
Lastly, I really like the extra capacity. The 28 ounces is about 15% more than even the largest of the other "large" bottles, and can make the difference between carrying and extra bottle or not. The extended top still fits in my small-frame mountain bike, and my wife''s even smaller one. This isn''t the Mercedes of bottles, but for the price its a very good bottle. Durable, large, and easy to open.

I was too cheap to pay the $7 that REI wanted for a basic water bottle so I ordered this piece of junk instead. The valve is really tight and too small, hard to open and close, while some of the water comes out the end in a pitiful little stream/spray and the rest of it leaks out and gets your shirt wet. Do yourself a favor and buy a quality bottle.Read Best Reviews of California Springs 28oz. Bio Green Xtreme Bottle Here
