I purchased this bottle on my son''s recommendation. He has used his for backpacking, camping etc. and really likes it. I wanted a bottle just to filter my tap water. Living in a small town with old water lines we are often put on water boil status. I drink 3 to 4 bottles full each day and couldn''t be happier with this bottle. One thing to keep in mind...unlike a typical bottle this one requires you to suck, while repeatedly squeezing, to drink the water. It has a one way valve which allows air to enter the bottle but not escape so, unlike a normal bottle, you can continue drinking without letting air back into the bottle by removing your mouth. It isn''t a bad thing but takes a little getting used to. I am planning to order the other style bottle for comparison. If you plan to use this for survival situations keep in mind you cannot easily pour out of this style so you may want to order the other one. All in all an excellent system that provides excellent tasting water. I highly recommend it!

Takes a bit to get used to the pump system of the bottle. It even comes with directions for how to drink on the bottle, so it won''t take long. Amazing how well it cleans even dirty water. The free filter was a great bonus and all at about a quarter of the cost from other vendors.

These are great. One went to a friend fighting cancer and one I kept for myself. There was a learning curve as it takes some effort to draw or squeeze the water up. It is no longer a noticeable effort needed. This means I can refill wherever I am and have good water.
