Unit I received does not leak at all when properly closed. Dust cap stays in place even when riding over NYC pot holes. Nozzle is not quite as soft/comfortable as that on a couple of older bottles I have in my collection (that are no longer available anywhere) and stays kinda loose when pulled open; also an itsy-bitsy, teeny-tiny amount of water can sometimes dribble from around the nozzle''s base when taking a draught. Not a big deal, still works well enough. Bottle itself feels well made and grippy, looks great with all my black/silver bikes. :)
As a water bottle it works like any other. However, the protective cap does not work on my mountain bike. Even on road surfaces the cap pops off.

This is a nice basic bottle. It leaks a little, and the Camelbak bottle we bought at the same time for a similar price is nicer no leaks, and water level visible.
