Metal Space Saver Cup fits Water Bottles

Metal Space Saver Cup fits Water BottlesThis does fit on a naglene bottle but it is loose, easily solved with a piece of cloth that I would carry in the bottom anyways but now I just us it as a cup liner. I was expecting something just a bit thicker and more durable like the GI canteen cups. For what you get the price is way too high, payed $10 for a cup about as thick as a soup can, and its made in china. I don''t expect this will hold up to very much heavy use. The bottom is not steel (its not magnetic.) I paid for steel, but being made in china, who knows what it actually is. The handles suck, one could have been mounted about 1/8" higher or lower than the other to allow it to fold out into a usable handle. Not to mention the handle is not 1 solid piece, the ends under the steel straps that hold it on are not connected, the construction of this cup screams cheaply made and way overpriced.

I cut a coat hanger and welded it onto the handle to reinforce it, hold it open so the handles open properly, and stop the handles at the right spot. Then tac welded the metal strap a few more times to make sure the handles wouldn''t come off. I would expect to have to do that with a $1 cup but not for a $10 cup. I''ll use it till it breaks (I don''t expect it will be very long) then I''ll get something else. I certainly would not recommend this cup to anyone for any reason.

this cup is very well built, i like the handle system and the measurment marks are easy to read, my only complaint is that it is a bit of a loose fit for a 1 quart nalgene, i thought it would fit tightly but it does not ''hug'' a nalgene wide mouth 1 quart bottle.

that said, it does fit down inside of my insulated bottle sleeve snugly and it carries very well.
