My only con for the cages are that after putting bottle in and out the inside tends to scratch or rub the resin from the finish. This makes the inside look a little more white than normal, but since I can''t notice it with the bottle in the rack, I''m not going to take a star away. Maybe it''s the plastic from my water bottles rubbing off. Either way, it doesn''t bother me, yet I wanted to mention it for the sake of a complete review.
Stay hydrated!
Buy XLAB 38-Gram Gorilla Carbon Cage Now
Nice carbon finish. Never had a water bottle pop out and I bike 300+ miles a week over train tracks, pot holes, and everything else. Kind of pricey but after losing water bottles in my other cages I suppose it worth a few extra buck to always have the bottles where you want them.Great bottle cage. I used in conguction with my xlab carbon rear wing. My only issue is the screws are a little painful to install. But it is the strongest bottle cage I have used. No bottles have fallen out even on the bumpiest roads.Ordered two of these for my Cervelo w/ Xlab wing. These cages do what they are advertised to do and where other cages fall way short. No need for rubber bands or anything else to hold the bottles in behind the seat. My bottles stay in the cage unless I take them out no launched bottles. While these things are expensive I have no concern about losing a water bottle or worse, potentially causing a wreck because I lost a water bottle. I''d highly recommend these holders for behind the seat hydration solutions.
