This bottle is the best I''ve ever had. I researched a lot for a hand-held running bottle (with a few mistaken purchases) and this one is basically the only one that has the durability and reasonable weight for long runs/hikes. The mouthpiece is great since you can use your teeth to open/close it (which makes it easy to use) along with the fact that the bottle adds no after-taste to the liquid/water. The pouch on the bottle is great for a key or little things and the adjustable strap for the the hand-hold is actually the big ''sell'' for me. The issue with competitors products is that the hand-hold is not comfortable since there is no material between the bottle and your hand. In this bottles case there is, which means that on long runs you don''t have a sweaty hand due to the fabric. The hand-holder fabric is very well made and I believe that this holder will last for many many years.

The company stands by it''s product and sent me a free replacement nozzle after mine had worn out from a year and a half of regular use (the support team are really great people). I''ll definitely recommend this to friends! Excellent product. Excellent company.

the hand strap didn''t stay in place no matter how I tucked it in I had to keep adjusting while running

I found the water bottle very difficult to drink from. The "nipple" feature is not intuitive at all

You really need to suck very hard and/or squeeze the bottle hard to get any water out and while running this is a very annoying feature.

Additionally in order to get the bottle back to it''s shape you have to pinch the nipple with your other hand to let the air out so it doesn''t shoot water out on you when you go for your next drink

I have since bought an Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Pocket 20oz water bottle and love it. It''s extremely comfortable, the handstrap is simple and functional and it''s easy to drink from.

I used this hand-held bottle holder for a half marathon over the weekend. In my training runs, the bottle that came with it was difficult to squeeze and the top started leaking after a few weeks. I used one of my own bottles in the holder and it was great. It was comfortable and light-weight. It was nice to be able to run past the aid stations. I would recommend the holder, but maybe use a favorite bottle instead of the one that comes with it.

I really wanted to love this water bottle. I am training for my first marathon and decided I wanted a handheld water bottle for my longer runs. I ordered this bottle because of all the great reviews. The water bottle came with very simple instructions that said you should pull the spout with your teeth to drink, then flick to the side to close when you are done. No matter how hard I pull the spout / nipple does not pull up, and flicking it side to side seems to do nothing. I can get a trickle of water if I lightly bite it, but it definitely does not flow...it is kind of like drinking from a baby bottle. I had my wife try drinking from the bottle thinking I was just doing something wrong, but she had no luck either. We are both fairly competent, athletic adults, so I am now wondering if the lid on my bottle is broken. I see they offer replacement caps and am debating ordering one just to see if it is any different and to determine if the original one that came with my bottle is a dud. Otherwise I love the grip on the bottle and handy little pocket. I will still use the bottle for runs as I figure if I am really thirsty I can just unscrew the cap. If I decide on ordering a new cap I will update this review with the results.

**Update 01/07/13 With the new year I decided to pull this old water bottle out again to give it another try. I read Anton Krupicka''s blog, and he is an amazing ultra distance runner who is sponsored by Ultimate Direction. I saw a picture of him carrying a hand held similar to this and I figured he wouldn''t be messing around with a water bottle that didn''t work on 100 mile+ runs. I went back to the bottle and decided the nipple had to pull out farther, and if I broke it trying than I broke it. I pulled it like I was trying to rip off the nipple, and to my surprise it popped up. I threw it back and the water flowed out great! I pushed in the nipple to retract it and pulled it up maybe a dozen more times, and now it goes up and down much easier. I''m not sure if all the bottles come this way or if I got an abnormally stiff one, but now it works great. I wanted to update my review to let people know my original difficulties were mostly user error. I have changed my original review from 3 to 5 stars.

I think I should have read the reviews on this a little better as to the description of the water valve stem function.. The lip of the valve must be grabbed by your teeth and pulled UP about 1/4 to 1 /2 inch to open the mechanism so that you can then either suck or squeeze the bottle to force water out at a higher rate. The result is that for me the amount of water I was able to dispense was minimal to the amount of time I had to keep my mouth around the valve which I found interrupted my breathing.

There is no real way to dispense water from the bottle without using your mouth. This to me poses as problem as due to where I live the highs are already in the lower 80''s in April I tend to use my water bottle not only for hydration but also for cooling to spray some ice cold water on my face or neck as I run to help cool. This is just not possible for me and this bottle. The directions says you can pull up the valve with your fingers. Maybe my fingers are just too big but It was impossible for me to get enough pull on the valve to release with water without pinching the valve so much no water would come out of the hole.

When I run I like to just hold the bottle about 3 inches from my mouth and just squirt in some water. This require the bottle to be in my mouth with my mouth closed around it for the most part. It may fit others style but I just prefer my way.. As I said if I would have read the reviews and description better I think I would of just passed on this product.. So it is going back and I am going to try to find one with just a traditional pull up push down nozzle that stays open till I close it.
