Innate Flip Top Lid

Innate Flip Top LidI took a chance and ordered these to replace the HumanGear caps on my 32 oz Nalgene bottle. They fit perfectly! They also have little silicone stoppers that can be removed to increase liquid flow in the bottle. And I got the blue ones to match my bottle.

I''m VERY satisfied with this purchase, and will be buying more.

Not really sure if the others had a chip on their shoulder or just had a bad experience or what, but I haven''t had any problems out of it. What started as a quest for a Guyot Gription for my Guyot Backpacker ended up with me getting one of these since the Gription is no longer being produced. It works very well, nothing has fallen off yet, and it is in fact water tight. Now this isn''t a rock solid device, so I am sure if you dropped it there would be a good chance of it coming open, but otherwise it will work for your bottle just fine. The flow valve that they are talking about is kind of small, but where it is located you shouldn''t be messing with it anyway, and I have yet to see it even come loose.

At first it didn''t seem like it would thread on, and was really loose, but as I screwed it on it straightened out, and made a really nice seal once it was tightened all the way. It can be opened with one hand, which is wonderful after you have been using "The Lid" that comes standard with the Guyot bottles. And the price really can''t be beat. It may not work for everyone, but for those desperate for a way to use their bottle without having to unscrew a massive lid everytime they want a drink, this is a good solution.

This review is focused on the innate flip top lid. The little white silicon air valve falls out the bottom and gets lost or possibly swallowed. Innate must have figured this out because, the Pop top lid has a much larger valve, fits better, and a smaller hole which would decrease the possibility of ingestion. This lid has a better feel than the pop top when drinking so it may be worth the risk. Due to the small part neither lid is recommended for small children.

I''ve been obsessing about finding a perfect water bottle, but most of them just have crappy lids. I don''t want a straw, and I don''t want to fumble around with a screw-off lid, and the few with flip-tops are cheap, plasticky and overly complicated. Then I found the Innate lid and it''s almost perfect. The plastic is much higher quality than any other lid. The flip mechanism is sturdy and simple. There''s no latch, but it seems well sealed -if I shake it upside down there''s no leaks. Still, I''m wary of leaving it rolling around inside a pack or gym bag. My only other reservation is the little air valve makes an annoying chirping sound when I drink. Overall I''m happy with it though. I have one on a 32oz Nalgene bottle and another on a 24oz Camelback bottle.

I have bought many innate bottles for my family and friends and before I give them as gifts I always replce the lid with one of these tops! I think they are the best for cleaning and less leakage and easy of use!
