This water filtration bottle does work. However, you have to refill the bottle when there is at least 4 oz. of water left because the filter blocks the water from exiting the bottle. I was disappointed that the cap of the bottle broke on the first drop. It''s vertually impossible to never drop a water bottle but I thought it would survive at least a few drops before breaking. So, it''s not the greatest quality. I would try another brand if I wanted another filtration bottle like this.

I love to do four wheeling and I got this product for a "survival backapck" that I usually carry on my vehicle. I did some kind of tests, basically to know how to opearate this filter, but instructions are very limited. It is not mentioned how much time I can store the filter or some other basic information, like how to identify when you need to replace the filter. You can''t see the filter or its components because it comes in a sealed plastic "container".

The filter works fine and I think it does a nice job because after filtration water is tasteless and fresh but the plastic bottle is so hard, making difficult to squeeze it, but moreover the spout closes so easily when you are sucking water out of the bottle thus sealing it off. To make it even worse, water leaks from the bottleneck!!

I''ve been loking for a different plastic bottle to fit on it the filter, and if possible a with more water capacity. Don''t waste your money, I''m sure you will find easily a similar or different product but for sure a better one.

This is a good idea, and it is useful, but it is very difficult to squeeze the bottle. But it works for small amounts of water.

I was looking for a replacement for my Brita sports bottle (which they stopped making) and liked the idea of this bottle, but the plastic is so hard that it''s impossible to squeeze water out of it, and the spout closes so easily that it''s impossible to suck water out without the mouth piece sliding down and sealing off.

I would not purchase, nor recomend others purchase, this particular bottle.

I have never written an amazon review before, but this water bottle was so amazing and so useful that I thought that everyone who travels abroad should have one. I am a researcher who does work in West Africa and often travels to China. I just got back from a month in Ghana, where all the water I drank went through the Aquamira bottle. I used faucet water every day, and I never got sick and the water tasted fine. The bottle was easy to use, clean, small enough to put in my day bag. I had no problem getting the water out or squeezing the bottle. On top of that, it definitely saved me money -even though it costs a lot more than a normal water bottle, it saved me from buying bottled water every single day while I was in Ghana. Every time I saw a traveler I went on and on about this water bottle. I will never travel abroad again without taking this water bottle with me. I just bought one for my mother-in-law who is going out of the country soon. I definitely expect that it won''t be long before everyone on the road has some kind of water filter bottle like this one.
