Nalgene - Neoprene Sleeve

I purchased this to use with my stainless bottles that I take to work and it works great. They are flexible enough to stretch and fit larger size bottles.

Came on time. Fits the bottle nicely. However, it''s black, and absofrbs the suns heat. Ice in bottle melts faster then no cover at all. Probably works great on hot drinks. No so good on cold drinks in the sun.

I tried finding a neoprene sleeve for a 40oz klean kanteen bottle. If you look at the outer specs, it almost matches a plastic nalgene 1L bottle. I thought there would be more options, but not really. The first one I found was a different brand. It had an ill fit and reeked of rubber. I was grossly disappointed and looked for something else.

After waiting a few days for non-prime shipping, I got this and though it was way too short. I was pleasantly surprised at the stretch and the fit is excellent for both 40oz wide and classic bottles. I didn''t like the logo and it came off with rubbing alcohol and a towel. There is a little nylon loop at the top that could fit a carabiner. I might cut it off as my bottle tops have more trustworthy loops.

If it helps you pull the trigger, I just ordered another one.

My original review was about the 32oz sleeve on 40oz bottles. It worked well enough, but I noticed that when the sleeve was on a 1L nalgene wide mouth, it was a lot more squishy. Since then, the 40oz sleeve was listed. I''ve seen it work nicely on both classic and wide mouth klean kanteen bottles.

My bottles have sturdy handles, so I cut off the loops. Loose nylon threads were easily taken care of w/ a lighter''s flame.
