Not fancy or expensive but the bottles don''t come flying out of my rocket launchers. That''s all I''m looking for in a rear mount bottle holder.
This is the best cage on the market. If you ride rough, NY roads like I do then this is the cage for you. I have not lost a single waterbottle since purchasing this cage. I use them on all my bikes and wouldn''t even think about buying a different one.

I''ve got a touring bike with three water bottle positions. The bottom one sits under the sloping front tube near the front tire. The largest bottle I can put there is 20 oz. The problem has been that the aluminum cage from blackburn (these Alum. cages on all bikes today) that came with the bike works ok if a bottle is mounted vertical but unless empty they keep bouncing out of the low position. The Profile Design Cage is the first cage I''ve found this year (I''ve got an old mountain bike with Trek cages which are no longer made that are great) that holds a full bottle like a vise. It''s wonderful! A big plus I didn''t know when I ordered is that it''s made in Taiwan instead of mainland China where they still know how to built quality instead of cheap garbage that ends up in a landfill inside of six months. The only reason I didn''t give the cage a five star is that when mounted on the vertical seat tube it is tough to get the bottle in and out of the cage easily because the mount holes are so close to the top tube, but since this is a holding position and the bottle gets rotated to top of the front tube position I don''t mind. Another plus is it allowed me to squeeze a 24 oz bottle on that vertical tube where I could only mount a 22 oz before. In all a great value for a great product! Oh, and it was delivered quickly. Got these even though they only came in white but I still believe these old school cages are the best hands down,you know what they look cool in white!

I have used this cage since the early 90''s on my mountain bike. Back then my quest for a secure bottle cage ended when I found this one. They get better with age when the inside gets scratched up and rough. I need another one for my new bike. Still have my original.
