SIGG Swiss Quality Bottle (1.0L) Save 14% off

Sigg Lifestyle Loop Top Water BottleThese are really wonderful bottles. Great for kids and adults. They are reusable, very durable and help keep cold drinks cold and warm drinks warm. Instead of those cheap plastic bottles that make your water taste like the bottle, these add no taste or odor, due to a special lining. You save money because you can refill them and they will last for years. Great for kids sports games-there are so many unique designs, no confusing them with teammate''s drinks. Each member of our family has their own unique bottle. Great way to do your part for the environment by using less plastic and petroleum based products.

I''ve had my Sigg water bottle for about a year now. The finish is great and it is very stylish. One of the nicest things about it is how light it is. There are some things left to be desired, though. For something marketed as a hiker''s bottle, it is NOT very rugged. I guess it is to be expected; it''s made of a single piece of aluminum, right? So it''s basically thickened aluminum foil. If you drop it once on any hard surface (countertop edge, pavement, grass with a stone sticking out), it is done. My has been dropped twice in a year; it now has two big dents and the screw-cap can no longer seal. Water leaks out. Very nice bottle but not nearly as "rugged" as we would be made to believe.

1) Stylish

2) Tad fragile.. although aluminum but if dropped on hard surface it may dent.

3) The actual capacity is around 950ml not 1000 ml (1.0 litre). You cannot fill up to the brim.

4) If you fill up water from one of those water fountains at ur work, the bottle becomes too cold to hold. I always need to fill up hot water from the coffee maker machine to neutralize the chilled effect.

I''ve been using Siggs of different sizes for a few years after my boyfriend turned me on to them, and they''re all awesome! I lost a 1 liter Sigg and was devastated, and this is its replacement. It goes in the dishwasher and gets clean, and doesn''t have that awful metal-y taste some stainless steel bottles will have. Blegh.

I used to reuse my plastic Smart Water bottles until they were too beat up to use. I decided to switch to something more durable yet "BPA-Free". I was deciding between a Klean Kanteen and a Sigg Water Bottle. Both are reuseable and have great reviews online.

Pros:

-Both can take a beating and still function well. For Klean Kanteen however, I didn''t like the stainless steel metal smell. It''s a very subtle taste but you can still taste it. I liked the Sigg because it gave out a no-smell taste.

-Also, the sigg seemed very well made with the top closing very tightly and it looks stylish.

-The Sigg is LIGHT. I wasn''t expecting it to be this light. Granted, it''s aluminum but I was surprised.

Cons:

-The Sigg dents easily. I put it in my gym bag and tossed it in my trunk after working out. The sigg had a dent on the top of the bottle after I took it out of the bag. It''s still functional and I guess it adds to the beaten up look. Meh.

-It doesn''t fit in my car''s cup holder. The bottle is just a few millimeters bigger. This is a minor gripe.

-It''s hard to clean. The mouth of the bottle is small so you either need to buy the sigg brush or take a little more time to rinse out the bottle. I rinse it out with hot water and a little dishwater soap. You may need to do this every week since you don''t want algae to start growing.

Overall, I have been using my Sigg for 1 month and a half now. It''s holding up well and I take it with me everywhere I go. When it comes down to it, it is a bit pricey but well worth the money. You can buy one on ebay for $15. I paid $20 and I feel that I used my money well.
