Liberty Mountain Bottled Water Harness (1-Quart)

Liberty Mountain Bottled Water HarnessThe bottle I have fits fine in this carrier and it can be easily adjusted for different sized bottles. I have a 17 oz. bottle though, and I think a bottle any larger would not fit right because the two straps that hold it in are positioned so low that the bottle will topple out of the top if it''s larger. Also, unless you are very small framed, the strap is way too short. I have it on it''s longest setting and if I sling the strap around my opposite shoulder like in the picture, the bottle comes to higher than waste level and the strap is very tight and uncomfortable around my shoulder and keeps cutting into my neck. As I walk, my arm hits the bottle, so I have to position the bottle way around on my back which looks stupid and makes it less convenient to drink from. If I sling it over one shoulder like a purse, it just keeps falling off. Honestly, would it have killed them to make a longer strap? Anyone who doesn''t have a tiny frame is going to be annoyed by the lack of length on the strap.

This sling would have been a lot better if the strap was longer. As it is, it is barely long enough to wear as the model shows in the listing.

This looks nothing like the picure. It is all black rather than purple and black. The strap at the bottom is narrow so the bottle just wants to slip right out of it. I bought this for my son to take on a field trip but I fear it will cause more frustration than anything for him. Save your money.

I just read the 4 reviews after receiving the 2 harnesses I ordered for my kids. I''m not too sure I agree with any of them except that the harnesses I got were all black, but I don''t really care about the color, just the functioning.

My kids are 5 and their bottles are 400 ml (14 oz) Nalgene. The straps tighten up enough around the bottles so that they don''t fall out, either through the bottom or over the top, and the shoulder straps are able to be shortened enough for young kids. I have also test-fitted one for my 1000 ml (32 oz) water bottle which is NOT the tall, narrow kind and it wouldn''t tip over and fall out.

At 5''6" of average frame (female), the shoulder strap is definitely long enough for me to carry the bottle to the front, but I don''t believe my 6'', larger-framed husband would be comfortable.

The harness must be adjusted to fit the bottle tightly, which takes about 3 minutes at the most. The bottle is not meant to be removed for drinking purposes if that''s what someone may be trying. Just tip it up and drink or pour into a cup.

This is my second purchase of a drink carrier, but this is not made the same as my original. The concept is great. It''s nice to carry a large drink, hands free. This one only has two straps, making it unstable. My original has three. My drink has flipped in this one several times. I had to add some pieces to it to give it stability. I suppose it would work OK with a small bottle, but when I''m out and about, at a park or such, I like to carry a large container.
