I wanted a small water bottle for my camera bags. Something that would fit nicely in a side pocket. The idea of a flask shaped bottle or oval shaped bottle seemed to be the best solution. Hopefully you find the following review helpful!

PROS:

* Fits perfectly in the side pouch on my camera shoulder bag.

* The powder coated, matte black finish looks really cool and seems durable from scratching off. It also has a texture that makes it easy to grip.

* The inside is lined with FDA approved materials. There is no metal taste, you might get from a cheaper water bottle.

* The screw top is very secure and included a rubber gasket to prevent leaking.

CONS:

* The opening is only 1" in diameter. Too small to drop in a full-size ice cube from my refrigerator.

* It comes with a small black carabiner. I actually don''t use this, but you might.

Since I don''t carry a backpack even a small one I asked my kids for two different water bottles for Christmas, and this was one of them. It''s a little large for my winter-time hikes, and isn''t a comfortable fit in jeans. (That''s why I wanted a curved flask as my other choice.) But, when I change to shorts for the summer, and need a little extra water, THIS is the bottle I''ll carry. I much prefer it to round bottles that do not lie as flat against the leg as this one. That said, I would have liked this better if it met the definition of a "flask" which is a curved container. That would have made it perfect.

I like that it''s small enough to fit in my messenger bag. My Sigg bottle was too big for the side pocket. It looks pretty neat with a flat black finish too. Like most similar bottle the mouth is too small, and its hard to clean out. Other than that this is fine for what it is.
