I have this and the platypus and I far prefer the vapur for trips.I purchased my first Vapur soft bottle at Target, overcharged in price but was impressed by the quality for a 16oz water bag. This version is the big daddy and holds enough water for me to get through six hours of baccalaureate-level classes.
Positives:
Great for motorcyclists, conforms to the inside of the bag.
Once empty, can be stored in jacket pockets or other small locations.
The head always ends up in the same direction, never have to worry about grabbing the bag in a weird direction.
The mouth is perfect for the "thirsty" individual, you don''t need to squeeze or had pressure to get the perfect water-flow. (But you can if your that desperate for water.)
Negatives:
The D-Ring doesn''t let the bottle form to your hip, so it''s not great for sport events or walking around in public.
Edges are a bit sharp, not enough to paper-cut, but definitely can be felt.
It''s height means it will fold over on itself when 2/3rds empty and standing. Not much of an issue if you don''t mind a limp bag.
I was looking for a water bottle that could be used both bedside and on the go, this fills the gap and has fully supplanted its use as my main vessel for drinking water.

Love these water bottles in general, but the design of the element line are brilliant. The wide mouth lets you fill the bottle with ice, which is fantastic for working out or just keeping your water cold for a long time (I think you can freeze water in it too, but I find that unnecessary when you can just fill it to the top with ice). The 1L size makes it last and the cool bonus is that if it''s filled with ice you can use it to put against your skin to cool off (which again is awesome if you''re working out). It sweats a bit with ice in it, so be careful not to leave it somewhere you could slip on the droplets, but that probably goes without saying :)Read Best Reviews of Vapur Element 1L Collapsible Water Bottle Here
Bought a couple of the 0.7 l bottles at a bookstore while traveling. I really like the collapsible feature it''s easy to find a place to put it. Even in the pocket in the truck door. Removable cap makes it easy to fill. I think the cap is the best feature you can open one-handed without biting on it. I''m getting more of them from Amazon.Want Vapur Element 1L Collapsible Water Bottle Discount?
When I fly, I like to drink water. But, I hate to spend the money to buy water (its just water, folks!) once I am through security. In the past, have carried a rigid water bottle to fill at a water fountain, but that takes up space in my carry on. This doesn''t! It also doesn''t leak, and has a really handy drinking valve. The plastic and seams appear to be both flexible and durable. I have no concerns about storing this right next to electronics (although I usually separate them, just out of principle.)zIn short, if I were smart enough to design a collapsible drinking bottle, it would look and work a lot like this.
