2 PAK: 16 oz. Wide-Mouth Water/Sports Bottle

This is a good size for a city walk on a warm day. I use the 12 oz flask for cooler days. I put it either in a shoulder bottle carry sling or in the pocket of my backpack. It''s nice not to even think about what might be leaching into my beverage from steel or plastic. For a hike I would break down and use a larger plastic container instead of glass, which is heavier. The cover is protective and has some odd features. The choker at the top seems superfluous because the bottle fits in so snugly. There''s a strange ridged seam on the bottom upon which the bottle stands a bit less stably than if it weren''t standing raised up on the seam. There''s a nice wide belt band that is useless because it''s so hard to remove the bottle from the cover and doing so would reduce the cover''s protection anyway. The snap suspension does work the bottle rides tilted but not horizontal, but to me it''s not comfortable riding on my belt loop. It comes with 2 plastic tops which do not leak.

Finally, a glass water bottle with a break resistant covering. I dropped it once and it didn''t break. Looks like I''ll have this one for awhile!

These are great because they are glass, which is the safest material for drinking out of (I have done extensive research on this) and I also like them because they are one of the few water bottles I found NOT made in China. They are easy to clean in the dishwasher and I leave some filled in the fridge so they are ready to go when I head out the door. They are also a great size and easy to drink out of.

Hercuglass is awesome. Have dropped these several times and they don''t break. Love drinking from real glass and not having to worry about all the potential by products of plastics. Well designed bottles with nice carriers.

I bought these glass bottles for my first grader since I''m trying to avoid plastics. The title "break resistant" is false advertising. The claim is that these are made of hercules glass (whatever that is) My daughter used the bottle (in the sleeve) many times, but it did break after about a month. She is only a few feet tall anyway, and was carrying her backpack with the sleeved bottle in the waterbottle pocket. She set her backpack down on the ground (so we''re talking about 2-3 feet from the ground here) and the whole thing shattered inside the sleeve. So not only did we have to throw away the bottle but the sleeve as well since it was full of glass.

They do give you an extra cap which is nice assuming you can keep the bottle in one piece. Also, the sleeve and bottle that are left now see very little use, a) because I''m afraid it will shatter b) because the sleeve is hard to get on and off for washing. It''s not impossible, but it''s enough of a pain that I usually choose a different product.

I would not recommend this product.
