This bottle is easy to open and close, because they designed a unique cap that only requires a partial turn. The open space in the top of the cap can be used to stick your fingers through to get a better mechanical grip if you desire or need to. You could even use an object as a lever and stick it through the top of the cap and turn to open it. This is not like the top of a soda pop bottle where the two pieces are threaded and you have to turn it a bunch of times. The rim of the bottle is smooth except for 3 locking lugs, although they are smooth to the touch and you will not notice them while drinking. They provide for the locking of the cap with only a slight twist, it''s really cool and extremely convenient. The cap can stand on it''s head so the bottom seal will not get contaminated by setting it down. Because of the cap design, it is extremely easy to hold the cap and bottle in one hand while drinking. This can be achieved by putting a single finger through the top part of the cap. This bottle is available at an affordable price and is made in the USA. The materials are quality and are made of the safe food/drink grade plastic and metals. The bottle color has been durable and shows little signs of wear. The bottle does not get odors and is easy to clean anyway.

Well, I ordered this bottle since it had some good reviews. Little did I know that after only using it for four days, the paint would be peeling off. Imagine my suprise when I realized that I was actually drinking paint chips that had peeled off of the neck of the bottle, and fallen into my water. The product was made in China. Inviscid Design Speedfil | Seat Tube Version

I have a Cannondale Slice. This fits the bill perfectly for my hydration needs. I love how I do not have to come out of the aero position to hydrate and I don''t have to risk crashing trying to grab bottles(or even miss one pedal stroke) to get water.

I am a bit of a water hog. I usually drink the whole thing in a 1 hour ride. Most people won''t need that much. My advice is to fill it up as much as you need for either your training ride or race.

ALSO You can refill it very easily on the fly.

The only negative is that you need to clean it out well after if you fill it up with Gatorade or some other sports drink (no duh!!!) Otherwise you will get a gross moldy container.

For training rides of 40 minutes to 1 hout I just use water in this. For long training rides I use this filled with water and have either 1 or 2 rear seat mounted bottles with Heed or cytomax mix. That way after a ride I just open the top, dump out any extra water and blow out the tube.

On race day I put whatever I want in it and take the time and trouble to clean it out.

This worked nicely for cleaning my camelbak! You do need to unscrew the long drinking tube on your hydration pack to clean the entire length of the tube, but that isn''t an issue for me. I do wish they would just sell the small scrubber brush by itself, but I''ve found I can use the large brush to clean cups and glass jars, so it works out.

I''ve now spent a couple of months with the Razor bottle system and wanted to share my experience.

Quality: Let me first start by saying how impressed I am with the quality of the bottle and cage. The carbon cage alone is a work or art with a beautiful glossy carbon finish. It aligns straight with your frame when mounted (if your frame''s mounting holes are not perfectly aligned, you will quickly find out with this system.) The bottle is the typical plastic you find with standard bike water bottles. In the store, it feels a bit firm and hard to squeeze but on the bike delivers water easily with an easy squeeze. The top is a snap-on vs. the current trend on screw-on tops. So far, not a single leak from the top, even when placed on its side for long periods of time (more on this below). All of my screw tops leak at some point.

Mounting: The cage has two sets of holes (for a total of four) to allow for different placements. This is important because the large shape of the bottle can fill a small frame quickly. On my bike (54cm.), there is enough clearance for a Razor to be installed on both the down tube and seat tube (more on this below).

Use: The Razor is designed for road cyclist who want an aero edge. Some research I''ve read suggests that an aero bottle in this location provides as much or more advantage than aero wheels. In my experience, I''ve been a tad faster since starting to use it but I also just upgraded my shoes so I can''t say which is contributing to it, if at all.

So how does it work? In a word, great! Once filled and ready to go, the bottle slips easily in and out of the cage and is VERY secure. The bottle is easy to grip, pull out and squeeze, all with no-look. Inserting it does require the rider to look down to get the bottle aligned in the cage but once the heel is set, the top of the bottle snaps in with a reassuring "click". It event looks cool if that sort or thing is important to you.

Disadvantages: Nothing is perfect so here''s my list. First, because there is no flat bottom, the bottle cannot be stood up to be filled or stored. Especially tricky is filling the bottle with sports drink powder. The bottle has to be laid on its side most of the time. Fortunately, it doesn''t leak or there would be a real mess in your kitchen, car, etc. Second, the bottle only holds 20 oz. which is fine for an hour ride in cool weather but won''t cut it for longer rides. I recommend checking to see if two will fit on your frame. They fit on my frame but haven''t purchased the second one yet. I imagine having 2 will provide a bonus aero advantage. Third, if you race for a team and need a spare bottle, you better be sure to stock up if your teammates use standard bottles. Fourth, spare bottles are hard to find. If you are going to a ride out of town, bring your own bottles because you might not find them at the local bike shop. Lastly, the cage and bottle are not cheap. If you are willing to live with these shortcomings, go for it!

I have spent a couple rides with this product and cannot recommment it. In fact, I feel the need to vigorously warn people about it for the reason that it does not hold the bottle securely.

In a 2km section of moderately bumpy paved road (not potholes or railroad tracks or anything just smooth bumps) the bottle was dislodged twice and ejected onto the road. This occurred when the bottle was full and while emptying it prevented it from being ejected again, there''s no point carrying a bottle on the bike if the only way to do it safely is for it to be empty.

On perfect roads it was OK, however it''s not something I would ever trust particularly if you are in a group where a loose bottle could cause a crash behind you. Even if you are riding solo, who wants to stop to retrieve a bottle?

If this doesn''t dissuade you I will say that the apparent quality of the cage and bottle seems fairly high, ignoring that it wouldn''t hold onto the bottle reliably. A minor point is that it''s awkward to cap after filling because of the shape.

In short this bottle system behaved worse than anything I''ve ever encountered before, and I will be throwing it in this week''s trash. That it is expensive on top of this just adds insult to injury.

IBERA Aluminum Bottle Cage

Inserting and removing the bottle isn''t a problem, it just isn''t fast or easy. The bottles are held in there rock solid. Of all the cages I have owned in the last 40 years, I have never owned one that is both secure AND easy to use, but I hate losing bottles. Nothing new here, just a good basic design that I thought would look good on my bike.

One thing I like is that it seems easier to wipe down the frame between the attachment screws than other desigs. I always seem to wind up with a stripe of dust under the cage otherwise.

Definitely keeps your bottle tight while riding it took a little getting used to because my other cage was rather loose. After having it for a while I love it!

Previously, I have used the sheet aluminum ones

but I am tired of replacing them every time I hit a hard bump, or lay my bike down. So, I just ordered this style, and I''m already sold on it after a short 5 mile ride. These feel much more stable, much sturdier, and hold up to the jolts a lot better. I have them mounted on my handle bars, so they really sake a lot of hits, and lay pretty flat. Using 1 liter bottles, after my ride today, they were still snugly held in place, and this was the first time I didn''t have to resort to using velcro to secure the bottles in place. I''d highly recommend these for anyone who has a tendency to hit up any hard terrain, is hard on their bike, uses a longer bottle, or who doesn''t want to break the bank on real carbon fiber.

These did come with steel screws, so if you have an aluminum frame, you may want to order a set of aluminum screws so you don''t strip your frame''s threads.

Topeak X 15 Waterbottle Cage Adapter

It tilts just like the picture. But that''s it. If you wanted your bottle to be angled more than 30 degrees, it''s a problem with this adapter. Of course this is probably fine for 99% of installations out there. I wanted to mount a rather large bottle on my wife''s small bike frame and even with this adapter, the bottle still hits her lock. If it angled another 10-20 degrees it would probably be fine. So don''t read this as a negative review the quality and construction is fine for what you''d expect from Topeak. It''s just that for my installation I needed more angle. If you just need the bottle to angle slightly out from the frame, like in the pic, then this is the best one out there.

The product itself is good, unfortunately, my bike has a very small frame and the added "thickness" that this was adding to my bottle cage was making the bottle even harder to get it, even with the added rotational adoption.

Nathan 10-Ounce Nutrition Flask (3 Pack)

The bottles that come in the Nathan Speed 4R Water Belt are 8 oz, but these 10 oz bottles will fit in the holders, but it''s tight. They don''t come out nearly as easily, but you can put them in and take them out with two hands, while running. You should know that after I discovered how tight they fit and that you have to use two hands to really push them in, I decided to stick with my 8 oz bottles. It''d be nice if they could make them just a tad taller to keep the width down. Either that or design the water belts a bit better to account for this. But again, if you really need them in the belt, they''ll fit.

If you''re not familar with the quality of Nathan products, it''s pretty good stuff, or at least, better than any other option I''ve used. Their bottles aren''t 100% water tight, but can come close. If you lay them down on the floor mats of a car and you have some gel or sports drink in them, it''s possible that you might stain your carpet a bit. If you''re not paying close attention when putting the tops on, you can think you''ve screwed it on tight, only to discover during your run when water is dripping down your leg that you cross threaded it. Cross threading them is a really, really easy thing to do.

I''ve been freezing these bottles (without the tops on) and have had no problems at all. Oh yeah, the tops are also the same size as the tops on the 8 oz bottles, so you can mix and match those if you need. One downside though is that these 10 oz bottles DO NOT come with 3 gel tops. Since Nathan doesn''t sell the gel tops seperately, if you want the gel tops, then you need to buy a 3-pack of the 8 oz race bottles. Seriously???

If you don''t know, the Nathan water belts that use this type of water bottle only come in a 2 or 4 bottle option. For Nathan to sell the 10 oz "upgrade" bottles in ONLY a 3-pack, well, that''s a sleezy marketing tactic. Nobody needs 6 of these bottles, but yet, for those that want 4 of them, you have no other choice. Jerks.

Love Nathan''s belt for long runs, as it secures nicely and has adequate storage. The water bottles do tend to leak out of the spout over time, requiring they be replaced. Also, cleaning the bottles and spout system is a bit of a chore. Overall, I prefer Nathan''s system to others, but water bottles could be improved.

I was unable to locate just the replacement water bottles at any sporting goods stores or speciality running stores in my area. I didn''t want to replace whole belt, hence my reason for purchasing on-line. I was disappointed to see the replacement bottles at a recent expo for a local race. I wish I would have waited, and saved the money for shipping and handling.

Just received the Klean Kanteen shoulder sling for $5.50 w/ free 2 day shipping. Despite many negative reviews, I figured how bad could it be for the money? It came in the same box as the Klean Kanteen 27 ounce bottle I had also ordered, and both were in protective poly bags. With trepidation I started the alleged horrific process of placing the bottle in the sling. I don''t know what is different about the sling I got, but after carefully lining it up with the bottom of the bottle, I simply pulled evenly on the straps and it slipped right over the bottle! It is a snug fit, but that is good. It won''t slip out on the trail, and since it is hanging at your side, you don''t need to take it out of the sling to drink, just unscrew the cap and go for it. The cap threads on easily,and has a soft(neoprene?) gasket to insure a good seal. The bottle is sturdy yet light, and with a very attractive finish(I chose the black), and the best thing is no more crappy plastic taste! Both the bottle and the sling are five stars as far as I am concerned, and I am going to order another bottle and sling in the 40 ounce size.

I love this sling. It works great. I love stainless steel bottles but I like to rinse them in hot water between uses and stainless steel is a great conductor and it would burn my hand but this sling is just thick enough to protect my hand from the heat while holding it. It also keeps my hand from freezing when I fill it up with ice cubes and water. This shoulder piece does do the job of holding the kanteen in something that you can carry over your shoulder, but it''s such a tight fit getting the bottle into it that it''s aggravating. If you''re in a hurry to go, forget it -you''ll have to have time to fuss with getting it together.

The pictures on this site don''t give you an accurate idea of the size. It is very large as the previous reviewer states. I would use it more often if it would fit just enough food for me-and fit in my bag without me fearing that everything would fall out from the weight of the food it held. If I fill it with food, it is enough to feed myself and my son--and then some. I don''t eat this much to warrant such a large container. I would have returned it if it didn''t cost me half what I paid for it to ship it back.

Camelbak Quick LinkTM Conversion Kit Save 10% off

The Quick Link Conversion kit was not something I intended to purchase initially, but after finding that my new pack''s lack of the Quick Link being built in I found myself a bit disappointed. My choices were to purchase a completely new reservoir with the Quick Link already included at more than $30 or to get the conversion kit for $10 (this was a no-brainer).

I had read other people''s reviews about how the item leaks, doesn''t install easily, is made of poor quality polymers, and is over-priced. Let''s talk about a few of those points. It was exceptionally easy to install the conversion kit to a non-Quick Link equipped 2L Antidote reservoir; all you have to do is cut the existing drinking tube approx 1 1/2" 2" above the end at the reservoir base, clean both ends of the tube and the connecting links with a rubbing alcohol dipped q-tip, insert and rinse with soapy water, and it''s good to go. It does NOT leak at all, as I''ve now used my old reservoir with the conversion kit installed along with the original tube and a newer insulated tube with the adapter already installed; neither item leaks at all after 5-7 uses for each tube (desert hiking at Red Rock National Conservation Area, city biking in Las Vegas, residential walking trails, fishing at Lake Mead). The quality of the material is definitely top notch as I''ve used other similar quick release kits with other brands and with the type of abuse I deal they break within the first 5 uses. For $10 + tax and shipping this is worth every penny, I mean come on who wants to invest in a new reservoir at $30-60 each when all you need is a new tube?

In short, if you have the older Omega system or the newer non Quick Link equipped Antodite system this is worth getting to not only extend the life of the reservoir long after the drinking tube is trashed but to allow for easier cleaning and installation in your pack after it''s already been filled! Get it, you won''t be disappointed.

I love this product! Like all the Camelbak products I have owned, it works great. It''s so much easier to be able to disconnect the drinking tube from the bag for filling, emptying, cleaning, etc. I like that the Camelbak stuff is made to get a few years of wear before it needs to be upgraded or replaced. I just bought this conversion kit and used it on an old reservoir and saved a few bucks instead of buying a whole new reservoir with the Quick Link system already built in. No other water reservoir system works as well as Camelbak, and I will continue to buy their products.

So to install this all you have to do is cut your old tube leaving about an inch or so still attached to the old receiver. Dip the quick release receiver in some rubbing alcohol and then slam it into the open tube end. Do the same for the other connector in the long part of the tube and you''re done!

This was easy to install and seems to work alright.

Just make sure you install the piece with the release button on the reservoir. The other piece goes on the hose. The pictogram instructions show this but it could be easy to miss the release button on the drawings. There is no warning to make sure that''s how you do it.

I have an older Omega Reservoirs from 2006 and decided to upgrade to the Insulated Tube with Quick-Link Camelbak Antidote Insulated Tube.

The Quick-Link Adapter is easy to use and works nicely. Disconnecting and cleaning the tube is much easier now.

What you will need to do:

1. Cut a 2"-3" of the original tube (see photos I uploaded).

2. If like me you are upgrading to a tube that already has the quick link, then you need to cut only one 3" piece. If you just want to upgrade your existing tube to Quick-Link, then you will need to cut Two 3" pieces.

3. Rubbing alcohol will help you insert the tubes with little effort.

The whole thing takes less than 2 minutes. The Quick-Link adapter is a must if you use your waster system on a regular basis, but do not wish to buy a whole new system.

One more advice from my experience, if you know that you will not be using your system for a while, stick it in the freezer after you clean it. It will prevent fungi, mold and bacteria. Done!
