Elite VIP Bicycle Water Bottle Cage Round Tube Adapter (13201)

Got these to mount water bottle cages to my suspension forks for an extended cycle trip. Easy to install. I put a litter of water in each cage and rode around my yard, did some hops, hit some bumps, did about a mile down a rough road, they seemed to stay in place. If I had it to do again I would get some thick rubber hose (radiator house maybe?). Turn my bike over, remover the front wheel, use rubbing alcohol to slick up the forks, then slide the rubber tube on the forks. Once you have the size you need where you need it, then clamp it in place with a hose clamp or zip tie, then....put the Elite VIP adapters on over the rubber house section. Just my thoughts.

Easy to instal.

Seems to be working so far, ill update after 300 miles.

I gave it 4 stars because you have to cut the extra cage tie off when you have it in place. This means I cant do it again without getting new ones. (side note, dont cut them until you are sure you like the placement)

It was a bit frustrating to install, and it feels like it''s not entirely secure until you''ve got the cage mounted, but it works great and is very secure. It sure beats the heck out of zip-ties and the Hose Clamps I had been using. It doesn''t scratch your bike and looks classy and low profile, and it''s easy to replace the cage if need be. The instructions left a bit to be desired; like a lot of good bike accessories, the company is German and could have done a bit more for their English language instructions, but the images suffice.

I bought my 9yo son a Trek 220 and it did not have a place to mount his water bottle. These fit the bill perfectly. They have been on his bike for almost a year and they have not suffered any damage. My son is VERY hard on his bike. He goes on ride as often as I do on the local trails and is always building ramps and doing stunts. Our backyard looks like a bike park, and like every 9yo frequently leaves his bike out in the weather. The mounts are still holding up to his abuse. I would buy these again. They are pretty long so they work for large tubes and are trimmed to size.

These adapters work, but one must install them carefully, and even then I don''t think they will hold much weight especially if installed vertically as on a seat tube. They do come with little rubber pads but the pads are soft and don''t grip all that well. Before installing one must see how the plastic strap is going to bend and then pre-bend it that way so that there will be less slack for the tightening mechanism to take up. Also, these adapters work best with a bottle cage or other item that has a thin mounting flange that is relatively flat, so that the flange can keep the ends of the cut straps secure. The included screws will not work with a thick mounting flange, and if the flange is not relatively flat for at least 1.5 cm inside of the mounting holes then it isn''t going to help keep the ends of the straps secure, and a strap could pop out. Of the two straps that I received, one was fine but the other had a lot of mold flashing that I had to trim away. Mold flashing (excess plastic) on the strap would keep it from meshing well with the tightening mechanism and would make the adapter less secure. The nice thing about this product is that the item mounted is not as far away from the tube as it would be with most of the other no-drill mounting methods.

Rubbermaid 32 oz. Kiwi Sip Bottle

I bought two and they both leak. No matter how tight or semi-tight the lid is, or how clean the o-ring is, or how carefully the o-ring is seated in lid they leak.

In addition the valve in the lid doesn''t work. You take a sip and the bottle get''s a vacuum in it, so it sucks air back in through the spout as soon as you finish your sip. Annoying. You can poke a toothpick/pin/whatever through the valve''s ''lips'' to separate them and the valve still doesn''t work. Maybe this ''valve'' is too small or just poorly-designed, if you look at a similar valve in a child''s sippy cup, the valve is at least twice as big, and has large slits in it.

Judging from the other reviews Rubbermaid must produce some of these that DO work, so it could be a quality control problem that occurs every few batches.

There''s a hole above the spout, so when you drink it spills!!! USELESS! My child''s sippy cup gets more liquid to come out through the spout than this... USELESS!

Random Color - Aluminum Water Bottle 25oz (750ml)

These have been great so far, saving us all those plastic water bottles. They dont leak either and keep the water cold. They are thin and tall so they fit nicely in drink holders and bags. They ship them random colors, we ordered 3, received 2 silver and 1 red. I wish we could pick colors, but for the price, its worth it.

I ordered these bottles in late January 2013. I washed them immediately, but didn''t start using them until a week ago. Two of the four bottles had a wider mouth and cap than the other two. This left me a little miffed because I like being able to completely interchange the lids, but all in all, I wasn''t too displeased.

THEN, last night, I filled a bottle, but then accidentally knocked it over and, even though the lid was on tightly, water began to shoot out of it. I looked more closely and there was a pin sized hole near the top of the bottle that shot out a thin stream of water. We had not dropped this bottle or damaged it in any way in the week we''d used it and the shipping box was not crushed or torn, so the damage had to be from the factory.

I went into my Amazon account today and saw that my "return window" had closed YESTERDAY! The return policy said I could still return it, but would not be refunded the whole amount and it would be incumbent upon me to pay for return shipping. The set of bottles cost so little that it was not worthwhile to pay to return one of them.

All in all, I''m not happy. It seems the other three bottles are ok, but I''m disappointed with the damage and the return policy.

I think the bottle works fine. It is like other metal bottles I have had. It keeps the water cool & doesn''t make the water taste funny (unless it is in there for a day or two). My gripe is that the lid takes many rotations to untwist. It is a small lid, so turning it multiple times takes quite a bit of effort. But it still works great to hold water!

This Gatorade bottle is great. It''s the newer style of Gatorade bottle, meaning it has a contoured body for easy gripping/squeezing, it has a valve design that eliminates back-wash, and the orange top makes a great finishing touch. I highly recommend this bottle, as an athletic trainer I am continously exposed to the realm of hydration and these bottles are amazing.

This Water bottle is the bees knees. Although I have no idea what is so great about bees or even if they have knees. Assuming bees do have knees, and that their knees are wicked awesome and can store and delivery beverages, than I stick to my assessment of this water bottle being just that, the bees knees.

What I enjoy most about drinking chilled whiskey out of this is the spout. I have played as a goaltender in Ice Hockey for 18years and I know my way around a water bottle or two. Traditionally you have to pull up the stopper on the spout and then squeeze the bottle as water sprays all over you and your children as you struggle to wet your throat. Gatorade takes it to a whole other level, Similar to that guy at your office who always tell uncomfortable racist jokes, except this water bottle isn''t named Ryan and it doesn''t tell jokes. The spout on the bottle is self sealing and the moment the interior pressure of the bottle exceeds the pressure on the exterior the spout opens to release whatever liquid is inside. That means no more fumbling around with those little tips on the old school bottles, which allows more time for getting wet and less time waiting in tingling anticipation.

In addition it is made of nice thick plastic, none of that "save the planet" nonsense where manufacturers produce thin plastic products to "reduce waste"... let''s be honest, the only reason a company uses less materials in production is to directly decrease the cost of the materials used to produce it, less plastic equal less money, but it also equals poor flimsy quality. The plastic of the bottle is also perfect on the firmness scale... It is not super squishy like a Pomeranian who was just blow dried like the older all white water bottles with black tops which most sports teams used to use, but it also is as hard as... well you can use your own analogy for something that is very hard. The bottles are soft enough to compress to get the liquid out, but firm enough to grip without spraying liquid everywhere like a dog in heat.

Overall this is the best water bottle I have owned.

I own both the Under Armour and Gatorade water bottles Both offer the perfectly-sized 32 oz capacity, and a quick-shot spout which keeps the fluid in until the pressure outside exceeds the pressure inside. Very nice.

That said, the Gatorade bottle stops there while the Under Armour bottle adds the functionality of a quick shot spout that also can be twisted closed. This means I can pop it in my backpack and not worry about bumping it hard enough to expel the fluid all over my other stuff including electronics. This makes it a perfect airline carry-on water bottle for my frequent travels.

When I''m not transporting the bottle, I simply twist open the quick shot spout and the water stays in until I need it.

Also, the ability to close the quick shot spout means I can add my favorite powder mix to water and shake it up. I tried that with the Gatorade bottle, but the increased pressure kept shooting the fluid out during the mixing process, even when trying to cover the spot with my thumb. This sucks.

The Under Armour bottle also has rubberized grips (not so with the O2 bottle), and a very small logo that isn''t as overpowering as the traveling Gatorade advertisement. If this isn''t important to you, then no big deal.

For me, this is just another example of getting what you pay for. For a few more dollars, the Under Armour bottle is the obvious choice for me.

I originally purchased an older version of this water bottle from Kohl''s (in store, not online) and absolutely LOVED it. Something I liked about the original bottle I had is that it was considered "unbreakable" (or shatter proof) and that was a major selling point for me. Well, the water bottle itself is indeed shatter proof, but I tend to drop things quite often and unfortunately the top of the water bottle is not shatter proof. My old water bottle had the handle break and the top cracked so that it leaked constantly if it wasn''t sitting straight up. Sadly, Kohl''s no longer carried this water bottle so I went out on a search online to see if I could replace it with something comparable.

I found this water bottle online and it''s the same brand but an updated version (which is weird since I just purchased the water bottle from Kohl''s over the summer about six or so months earlier). I washed it in the dish washer last night and started to use it this morning. It is everything I expected it to be it is just like my old water bottle but "newer" (my old one was gray and boxy, this one is green and more sleek looking).

Here''s my over all assessment of this product: 1. I don''t use the inner core ice pack thingy, it''s tiny and doesn''t keep the water cold long enough but that''s not essential for me. If you need something to keep your water cold for long periods of time, this isn''t it. If you need to keep your water cold then I suggest you add ice cubes. 2. This holds a good amount of water. When I was pregnant, I could go through 5 refills or so during the day. Now, in a normal work day, I only have to refill it once or twice, and I don''t feel dehydrated because I''m getting at least 32 ounces of water during the work day. I refill this at least once in the morning and once at night because I drink a lot of water. 3. This water bottle is kid friendly. For some reason my two younger kids (1 and 3) LOVE my water bottle (the old and new one). They constantly take it from me and drink out of it but I''m okay with that as long as it gets them to drink water. I tried out the new bottle on them this morning and they both liked it. My three year old likes the green color (and so do I but green is my favorite color).

Side note: the picture makes the bottle look more neon green than what is really is IRL. But, I prefer the more muted green as I''m not a huge fan of neon colors. The picture online also makes it look like the top and side grip are blue-ish, but they aren''t, they''re green just like the rest of the water bottle.

So, I think this is an excellent product as long as it''s not dropped :-) If I drop this one again, I''ll still end up buying another one just like it as I do like this water bottle.

Oh, one last comment. This water bottle is better than the older version one I had because the old one was more boxy and wouldn''t fit into my cup holders in the van. Now, this one is tapered at the bottom and fits into the cup holder that''s a plus.

I bought this lock to use for my second (cheaper) bike. Had I known in advance I may have bought two of them.

With a simple twist on the barrel, there''s a cover for the key hole protecting it from the weather, should a storm come up. The 10mm x 4ft flexible coated steel cable is thick enough so that it would take some serious bolt cutters to get through. There''s even a user''s guide with various lock strategies. As of this writing (12-09-2010) there''s only two left in stock. Get yours now.

The only drawback I can see is there''s no guarantee against theft as with some OnGuard & Kryptonite locks. Last thought...I live in what has to be called a high crime area. Leave a bicycle unlocked & walk away it''ll be gone in 30 seconds. Would I use this lock if I didn''t trust it?

My girlfriend and I just got into riding. We both have standard road bikes, but I am 6''4 and she is 5''6. This lock fits fine on my bike since it has a large frame and does not interfere with my water bottle holder, however, on my g/f''s bike, she must make the decision of whether she wants the water bottle holder or the lock. We keep the bikes inside, so like a previous poster said, we can just take the locks when we need them (b/c they are a bit heavy), but that just also implies that they are strong and durable. For $18-$20, you can not beat the price.

Like I said, the lock itself is great, but if you plan on mounting it on your bike and riding around with it all the time, I think it would work better with a larger framed bike that has more space (unless the lock is the only piece you have attached).

I bought this based on a review that said that Avenir locks are similar quality to Bulldog locks because they are both manufactured by the same company. Sadly, they were wrong. This lock set was not bad, but I would say it is one or two notches below Bulldog/Kryptonite quality.

After using this lock almost daily for a month, the keys would no longer turn the locking mechanism. The keys and lock did not fit together in a way that allowed the lock to turn, which I suspect is due to the lower quality metal making up the lock & key. The metal felt much more flimsy and malleable on this Avenir lock than on my old Bulldog and Kryptonite locks (which have lasted years).

I should have anticipated this problem when I noticed early on: (1) how the key + lock did not slide together smoothly and (2) the metal on the key scratched up very easily and there was a lot of "give" to the key, when it met resistance with the lock when turning.

Conclusion: Pay a little more and get a Bulldog or Kryptonite lock.

I was very pleased with my lock and thought I was doing well by going the extra mile and getting the combination u-lock and cable.

Unfortunately I was wrong.

My bike was stolen when the perpetrator cut through the bar of the u-lock with a simple bolt cutter. They cut through with a clean cut in what appears to be the first try. Do not buy this lock if you plan to use it for securing your bike other than while out and about in public. The u-lock appears to be sturdy but its construction makes it easy for thieves to cut it with simple tools in a matter of minutes. Invest in a sturdier lock or move your bike to a more secure location.

Mini Insulated Bottle Carrier

This product is actually quite small. Even though is says mini, I still expected it to be a little bit bigger. Also, it will not stand up with a drink bottle in it. The seams on the bottom make it too unstable to stand alone.

A few years ago I picked up a couple Insulated bottle carriers in a grocery store for about $5 each. I fell in love with them quickly--they keep your bottled water cool in the summer and prevent freezing in the winter. The two I got in the grocery store also have two methods for carrying--a string you can wrap around your wrist, and a clip. I wish I had gotten more of these or knew who manufactured them. I wanted a couple more, and tried this product.

This bottle carrier--the one I''m reviewing on this page--simply isn''t as good. It does keep beverages cool and keep them from freezing, but there is only a clip (no carrying string), and it is very difficult to insert a bottle of water then be able to "stand up" the bottle on a table. If you try to stand it up, it falls over easily. I don''t have this problem with the carriers I got in the grocery store because they have a little "ridge" sewn around the bottom of the carrier which stabalizes the bottle when you stand it up.

In fact, this product actually makes it much more difficult to stand the bottle up because there is a seam that runs exactly down the center of the bottom, creating an uneven platform. I even purchased a couple heavy 2" or so washers and inserted them into the bottom, but this didn''t help them stand up much.

So, compared to the two excellent bottle carriers I found in the grocery store a few years ago, this product just doesn''t compare: it''s more expensive, doesn''t have a carry string, and doesn''t stand up on a table easily without falling over.

Sherpani Tre Medium Shoulder Bag

LOVE this bag. I can tell a lot of thought went into each feature. It''s the perfect size and shape for workit carries all the usual stuff (phone, keys, wallet etc.) and still has room for a hardcover, lunch, or even shoes. The interior drink pouch is genius, and I like the zippered pockets to keep my ipod and work badge secure. The covered-but-accessible pockets are perfect for a phone, so I can grab it quickly without having to dig. Love the magnetic closure so I don;t have to worry about always making sure it is closed. My one very minor gripe is the elastic closure with a hook can''t be undone with one handnot very convenient when you need to get out your keys with a drink in one hand. I discovered new feature after new feature the first three or four times I used this bag, each time to much joy & excitement.

There are a total of four zipper compartments: (1) the main compartment, which is large enough to fit a spiral notebook, (2) a small pocket within the main compartment for a wallet, bag of tissues, or other small items, (3) the pocket you see on the outside of the bag, perfect for holding a cell phone, and (4) a pretty sizable "secondary" pocket that I usually use for a small jar of Vaseline, lip balm, and other small items that would otherwise get lost at the bottom of the bag.

On top of these compartments, there are also 4 "pockets, each of which is large enough to fit my very fat clutch wallet, an oversized pair of sunglasses, or whatever else you might need. I wouldn''t recommend overstuffing each and every single pocket, though, as it may be difficult to close the bag afterwards. Two of these pockets are inside the zippered main compartment; two are just outside it for easier access but still protected from pickpockets by the "messenger bag" flap.

We use this as a kitchen faucet while out in the woods and it works great. For people expecting piping hot showers from this it takes several hours of DIRECT sunlight with the bag perpendicular to the solar rays to truly get HOT. That means at noon the bag should be laying on the ground with a towel under it to help insulate it. In the morning and evenings it should be hung vertical, and the rest of the day it should be propped up at a 45 degree angle. Also don''t expect it to be any warmer then the outside temperature on cloudy or overcast days. I think some of the reviews regarding how poorly it heats the water are due to overly high expectations.

I only bought one, but it split open at a seam after a couple of uses. I tried to glue and tape it back together, which held for a while but even so, the flow was pretty flimsy.

Best to go with another brand.

This shower heats up 5 gallons of water in no time, the problem for me was finding a place high enough and strong enough to hang the 40lbs. The water pressure is slow, but it does the job.

Most of these bags seem to be about the same except for the control valve. Some have valves up at the point where the hose leaves the bag; that''s not nearly as convenient as having the valve at the end of the nozzle, where you just pull/push to turn it on/off. This bag has that better type of valve.

I really liked this camera bag, it is large enough for all my lenses and my DSLR. Had enough pockets for the extra little stuff that you need. And then after only my second use the shoulder strap ripped out. I was lucky enough that it happened when I was taking the bag off my back and was putting it in my car, and it only fell right into my seat. I don''t know what would have happened with my equipment if that would have happened a couple seconds earlier. I am very disappointed about it, I even tried to fix it but it seems especially where the shoulderstraps are sewn into the top is not done very carefully. I checked it out and noticed that the seems were ripping out there. It''s just not secure enough to carry DSLR''s and lenses. So please beware when carrying your equipment that the straps could rip out at any moment and it can drop your equipment.

The bag is nice over all. There is plenty of space and cushion for my camara and most of my supplies. I like how secure the straps feel. However, the snap gadget-lacky thing broken off on the bottom set of straps and I can''t replace it. With this feature broken, I cannot secure the bottom set of straps around my waist for that extra security that I like to have when I am out on a shoot. Also, I like both colors, but would have preferred the blue one. I was not able to make the selection when I ordered it because that feature was not available for me to make. Amazon, please make that correction! None the less, I got the gold colored one. It matches my car.

Sprays on easy best with wet snow conditions. I am currently on a ski trip and will carry the spray in my jacket.

Hertel wax is good but this cannot be used outdoor in Winter ski temperature. Skied in Colorado in 14 degree temperature, brought this to spice up the wax as needed, but it got frozen though I kept it close to my body. Totally recommended to use indoor, or in Spring ski where temperature is higher than freezing temperature.

Seychelle Pure Advanced Water Straw Filter and Purifier

I am only rating the performance of Interspective LLC and not the performance of the straw filter as I have not had an opportunity to use it yet. I ordered one of these in August 2012, via Amazon, and it arrived without the advanced filter inside it''s carrying container, so I sent it back. The product isn''t packaged from Seychelle in any kind of secure bubble pack which would hold the contents together to prevent loss of the advanced filter. The container holding the advanced filter is clipped to the filter cap, but the lid of the container is not secured with tape or glue. On this order, as on the first order, the two filters arrived loose in a box and the lids on both containers which supposedly held the advanced filters were open and the containers were empty. Good news; I contacted Seychelle direct, notified them of the problem, and they sent two advanced filters within a week, no charge. That is great customer service on their part, but I was not impressed with INTERSPECTIVE LLC, which sent the products to me via Amazon.

I''ve done all the research and have found that this water straw is PERFECT! I will definitely purchase their other products to test out, but I''m sure they will rise to the quality I expect. These guys know what they are doing over at Seychelle. Highly recommended product!!!

Mine came a little more yellow/greenish than the nice earthy green/tanish that it shows on my screen. The top opening is small, which is fine for drinking but kind of a pain for cleaning. The bottle brush I had was too thick in the handle to fit inside so I had to get a new one. Overall I like the metal and the screw top lid. The size is nice too, small enough to fit in a purse.
