My family is trying to reduce our plastic consumption, which also means replacing our ziploc bags with something that can be reused over and over again. So far these have been wonderful for our lunches, and a total breeze to clean (we alternate between washing in the washing machine and by hand). I would thoroughly recommend these, but anyone looking at them should be aware of a couple of things:

First, these are obviously not air tight, so anything that you put in them (cereal, crackers, granola, etc.) will become stale after a day or so. We even found that making our lunches up the night before sometimes led to stale snacks regardless of whether things were stored in the fridge or on the counter. Waiting until the morning to put things into the bags and relying more on freezer packs than the fridge seemed to correct this.

Second, fruit and veggies do tend to ferment a lot quicker in these, as they seem to become quite humid. Anything over a day unrefrigerated got quite nasty and resulted in an unpleasant surprise when cleaning out forgotten lunch bags. Again, this is relatively easy to correct (clean out/rinse them promptly and don''t store anything in them for long period of time), but something that you should be aware of to avoid a surprise.

Finally, the velcro is rather loud, so these are not the best "stealth" bags, since everyone will hear you opening them up.

Over all these have been exactly what we were looking for the colors are both adult and children appropriate, the materials used seem to be very high quality, and stitching looks very sturdy, even after several washes. They are a great way of making your family become more eco-friendly!

We wanted to stop buying, using and throwing all the plastic bags we need to pack lunches and snacks, and these bags are great for that. Every day we turn them inside out to wash and so far, they have held up. The initial purchase is pricey when trying to determine if its worth it since plastic bags are so cheap, but we like being "green". I like that there are two velcro fasteners so that if the item is larger than sandwich size, it will still fit in this bag.

I wish they had a clear bag so we would know what we packed in each one.

I love using these for chips, pretzels, etc. They hold a lot and the two different sizes they convert two are so handy. If it smells like the chip or cookie you put in there, just turn it inside out and air out overnight :) I love not using plastic bags anymore.

I bought these for my husband''s lunches at work because it was cheaper in the long run (and greener!) than buying plastic baggies once or twice a month. He''s been using them for about 3 months now, 5 times a week, and they''re holding up just fine! I''ve handwashed them a few times and they clean/dry just fine... no issues with the material falling apart or molding like other reviewers have said. I generally only put dry items in them though (i.e., no really oily/messy foods... just sandwiches, crackers, pretzels, etc.). He says they keep his food as fresh as the plastic baggies, too. I''d buy them again!

I am in love with these reusable bags! I''ve used and appreciated the full size ChicoBags for shopping, so I figured they''d put out a great product in these reusable snack bags. They are sturdy and durable, with a nice, large capacity (love that they fold into two different sizes). The colors are great as well, with subtle patterning unique to each fabric.

I don''t put anything in them until I''m ready to pack up my lunch, as I''m not sure how airtight they are. But so far they''ve kept everything perfectly until lunch or snack time. So happy to have transitioned from plastic baggies to the reusable ones. And these rePETes were the best way to make the transition.
