What a bummer that other person had to deal with. I had the complete opposite experience. The container doesn''t leak a drop. It''s perfect for hot LOOSE herbal tea as it has a built in steep to strain the leaves so that you don''t end up eating them. It''s double walled glass so you don''t even feel the heat coming through. It''s BPA freetotal bonus. And lastly, it looks SO GOOD! I love the design. So sorry to that other gal. I''m usually drinking out of Ball canning jars to avoid plastic but this is definitely an upgrade.

Make sure NOT to loose the rubber washer that goes in the lid, if it''s not in place it WILL leak. With the rubber washer, I can put it in my purse and not worry about getting my iPhone wetit''s THAT spill-proof.

The brewer makes great tea, and looks great on a desk/table, but does have two flaws relating to the lid. The bamboo on my lid has begun cracking after a few weeks of use. Also, take care in threading the cap before flipping the bottle over. It is very easy to mis-thread the cap and have hot water leak out of the bottle.

mine does not leak at all, and is so well designed.

But I put the lid in the dishwasher and the bamboo cracked. Hope I can keep someone else from making the same mistake.

I decided to upgrade from my jelly jar and splurge on this stylish looking tea bottle. It arrived in a timely manner and it''s as pretty as it looks in the pictures. However, no matter how I repositioned the rubber ring it leaked terribly. Even worse than my homely jelly jar! I emailed the manufacturer about this defective product and got a reply asking for the date and source of sale which I promptly sent them and NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN! Poor follow through on customer service. Perhaps it was just this one bottle that was defective but I won''t buy from them again. Save your $30 dollars and use a free jelly jar.

Well made, and gorgeous to look at. A friend had one, and when I saw it, I was sold. A thing of beauty, super functional; a really nice indulgence I wish I could buy them for all my friends! One caveat: the bamboo lid on was lighter than pictured. I''m thinking the color may enhance over time.
