Obviously it isn''t carbon fiber, but it is also 1/3 of the price.
Holds normal 16 oz water bottles. Can also manage to get a somewhat larger bottle in the holder.
Buy Exustar Plastic Water Bottle Cage Now
Bought this in May, and less than three months / 1,000 miles later, it''s broken! Will be removing this imminently... But, before we get to the crack all the way across the arm of the cage, a few observationsIt''s made of fairly chunky plastic. Not the most delicate object I''ve ever seen...
The weight''s not bad, although still 75% heavier than my primary cage (Bontrager Carbon)
It doesn''t hold bottles over bumps. Now, I ride a road bike, so I''m not so good at bumps either. But every time I hit a biggish bump / pothole, a full-bottle in there will come flying out. The lower tab isn''t big enough to keep the thing in...
Oh. And Before I forget, yes, the cage is now a big flappy plastic thing. 900 miles since I bought it, and I discover that there''s a huge crack in the side of it. So it''s coming off the bike. I ride a road bike, yes, road, not a mountain bike, and I use it as my second cage, so it probably only holds a bottle for less than 50% of the miles I''ve done since I''ve bought it. So, let''s say 450 miles later, and the thing''s broken. 450 miles of relatively smooth roads, less than 10 potholes in that time, and not worth the money at all. Time to return it!
