Speedfil F2 Hydration System

I love this Hydration system. It is exactly what I was looking for. The bottle fits into my existing bottle bracket. It is extremely easy to fill "on the fly". It is easy to install and custom fit. It is also easy to clean. (I don''t feel the need to have the special cleaning brushing that you can buy). The straw/valve system works flawlessly. I love this ability to drink without having to reach for a bottle.

Polar bottles would not seat with the big round gasket, but my Camelback 24oz bottle fit perfect. Also, my wife just could not open the Bite Valve because it sticks, so she leaves it open all the time. I am thinking of buying another bite Valve at REI. The H2O System itself is a great idea. I just opened the top lid while bottle was on the bike and put ice cubes inside and juice. You cannot beat the concept, but System still needs a little tweaking. We will probably buy another one later on.

I''m trying to break into triathlons and my bike handling skills aren''t at the point where I could grab a bottle, lean back and drink without crashing. The Speedfill fits into a regular bottle bracket and allows me to drink while riding without crashing. The bite valve design is good, because you don''t have to suck to draw water all the way up to from the bottle. A quick sip and water is in your mouth.

It is rather expensive for what it is a bottle with a hole, a long straw, and a bite valve, but it works. I otherwise would have to be stopping to take a drink.

The straw is quite long to begin with so you can clip it to your desired length. I normally ride in the drops and it needed to be longer than initally thought so don''t cut the straw until you test ride it. It can be a bit floppy the neoprene cover over the straw helps, but I stuck a wire in between the straw and the neoprene cover and now it is positioned where I want it to be.
