I''m not a ultra but I do run and I''ve been looking for "the right water bottle." This one is pretty close to what I''m after. The mesh strap is moisture-wicking, but that only applies to the back of your hand. Your palm is smack against the plastic bottle and it get sweaty. Not a deal breaker. What I was most concerned about was whether the thing would stay strapped to my hand and it does. Works fine on either left or right hand. The nice thing about the strap is that you can use it to strap the bottle to your hand or you can carry the bottle loosely by it. You have options. The cap opens pretty easily and seals well. One thing I miss with this bottle is the straw, you do have to tip the bottle to drink. Again, not a deal breaker. The pouch is the right size. I put my driver''s license and a Gu pack inside the zipper plus a Gu pack in the mesh pouch on the outside and still had room.

I got this with a gift card so I''m not sure how I would feel if I''d paid the full price for it. It seems a bit pricey but maybe I''m just cheap.

I''ve been searching for the ''right'' water bottle carrier to use while training for a Half Marathon, this fit the bill. The bottle holds enough for me to run 10 miles without refilling and didn''t leak at all when tightly closed. The best thing about this bottle carrier is the pocket. I was able to fit my cellphone, cash, ID and house key in the pocket without a problem. If I didn''t carry the phone, it would fit a pack or two of Sportbeans perfectly. The only drawback I found was how much of the hand is covered by the strap. I prefer less of the hand to be covered, but it didn''t bother me too much. I didn''t experience the sweat issue between the bottle and my hand, but on really hot days it could be a problem. I used it today on a 10 mile run and it worked perfectly.

Carrying something during a run is new to me, and in fact something I swore I would never do. But, running longer distances recently proved that this was a good option for staying hydrated. I only take it on long runs (10 miles +) where I know I won''t be able to find water along the way, and it''s been great in terms of doing it''s job.

In terms of comfort, it''s great all things considered I find myself having to readjust my grip or switch hands after an hour or so of a run... but never did I really want to just toss it to the curb... which is, frankly, how I expected to feel. All in all, it''s great, and has a handy pouch which I use all the time for foodstuffs.

I really like this product, my one gripe is that the strap on the bottom of the bottle prevents it from standing upright when I set it down. Adjusting the strap to your hand has a slight learning curve, otherwise, the mesh strap fits my hand snug and secure without having to really grip the bottle. The pouch size is rather generous, and I use the mesh pocket to hold a gel or some electrolyte pills. The rubber sipper is soft for a grab with the teeth, it feels better than plastic! You do have to make sure you close it well -I''ve had a quite a few partial closes and suddenly think -why is it raining on my leg? I think this is due to the soft material not being rigid and it squishes down without fully closing.

I have and will continue to recommend this product!
