Coleman 32 oz. Straw Bottle

Coleman 32 oz. Straw BottleI had been looking for years (yes, years!) for a replacement for an 11 yr. old water bottle that I love but is looking rather worse for the wear at this point. Most bottles have a narrow mouth that makes it difficult to get ice into even so called wide mouth bottles (think Camelbak/Nalgene) aren''t wide enough to easily fill. And they almost all have a screw off top can be challenging to sip out of sometimes, such as while driving. When I saw this item I knew it would be perfect and I was right! It''s BIG it holds 36 oz! It''s slim enough to fit securely in the large cup holder in my car(Honda minivan). The very wide mouth makes it so easy to fill with ice, the top is leak-proof with a straw that you can safely close off and the removable insulated "jacket" does a fantastic job of keeping beverages cold. It''s also very easy to clean, no problems with mildew like I read about with some bottles with a locking straw mechanism like Camelbak''s. It is just what I wanted! I also have to mention how great this vendor is! There was no color choice option and the photos showed three colors so I called the folks at Camping Station to ask them if they could possibly send me the item in blue. Customer Service was very nice and said he would do his best. He asked for a second choice in case they didn''t have the blue. I had ordered two bottles and I was lucky enough to be able to get both in blue! I am really, really impressed with Camping Station and could not be happier with the whole experience. I had purchased a 32 oz Nalgene widemouth bottle and tried to make it work, but I''m returning it because this is SOOO much better for me.

When I received this item I was dissapointed because the bottles had an aftertaste for quite a while, I kept rinsing them out until it went away and I use one of them every day by my computer and my wife carries one with her in the car everywhere she goes. They fit in the drink holder without the innsert for smaller cups.

This is the cheapest, most poorly made water bottle I have ever seen. The top of the bottle is warped so the cap doesn''t even screw on right. The bottle itself is the thinnest, flimsiest plastic I have ever seen a water bottle made out of. I don''t know if it''s intended to be a squeeze bottle, but it is definitely squeezable. The insulation is thin, stinky vinyl type material. Anyone looking for a serious water bottle should look elsewhere. As I type this, it says they are currently unavailable. I pray for the poor soul who might end up with this one, as I''ve already begun the return process.

Gaiam 750ml Aluminum Water Bottle (Earth Meets Sky) Save $0.04 off

Gaiam 750ml Aluminum Water BottleI was excited about this at first. When I got it, the leaves are actually brown, not green. Also, I have had mine for a few months now and has two dents in it-it dents very easily.

I do get compliments on it, and I still do like it, but I wish it wouldn''t dent so easily-especially because now the paint has chipped off.

By far, the BEST thing about the bottle is that you totally do not get that weird taste you do from a plastic or other kinds of water bottles!!! :) :) love that.

Generally I am happy with this waterbottle. I like that it is aluminum-I hate the plastic ones. It has a smaller mouth, which I like in compared to the Nalgene style water bottles.

One thing I am a little dissatisfied with is that it is not 100% leakproof. At first I just thought that I was not screwing the cap on correctly, but it indeed leaks very slighly if it gets tipped over.

Also, something I had to add was that on this paticular style, the leaves in the image are a light and dark brown-not green as the image seems to reveal.

Also, in case you are interested, this water bottle is not made in America.

I purchased this for a gift at Christmas because I had one like it and have been very pleased with it. I use it when I go to my aerobics class, refrigerating it before I leave. The metal feels so good when I get hot from exercizing. The one I have has a larger mouth and it is easier to get ice cubes in to help keep the water cool, but by refrigerating it ahead of time, this isn''t a problem.

Bottle is cool looking and a good size but was a little dented when I got it and the plastic cap seems like it might get damaged by the aluminum threads, however this hasn''t happened yet.

Torhans Aero Mount Kit Save 26% off

Torhans Aero Mount KitInstalled this on my tri bars and it works great. I also got the Torhans 30oz bottle. easy to drink from/

This mount bracket is for your Torhans 20 or 30 aerobottle. I give it points for being very adjustable, as the little wings flip up or down and can handle a wide array of aerobar separation distances. On the downside, I''ve had to line it with felt tape to keep the bottle from rattling in the mount over rough roads, and I''ve had one of the tabs in the front snap off when trying to tighten the bottle into the mount using the velcro strapso I had to buy another. So, while Hans at Torhans is trying hard to design some great aero products, and provides good customer service, I think they''re still new at all the little details required to get a really well functioning product.

Stanley Utility Water Bottle 24 ounce

Stanley Utility Water BottleProduct arrived quickly. It is exactly as described. This is a great, and cheaper alternative to the similar Guyot design water bottle. It has a very large opening which is nice. I have used this product to boil water, make char cloth, and as a water bottle. I even accidentally dropped it off a four story cliff. When I retrieved it it was only slightly dented on the bottom edge. You can''t beat it for the price.

I love this water bottle. It''s a Stanley, so it''s going to be sturdy and last forever. The drinking sprout is perfect not too big or small. Would definitely recommend this product.

I''ve never had a Guyot, so I can''t tell you if they''re better than one. That being said, I was really hesitant to drop $15.00 bucks on a water bottle, but a Youtube review prompted me to take the chance. I love this bottle & will be buying another shortly. FYI, the size difference between the 24 ounce & the 32 ounce is so minimal I wouldn''t consider the smaller unless you need it to fit into something specific. The cap is the same size on both. The 32oz is maybe 3/4 to 1 inch wider. A 1 quart bottle with a smaller footprint than a Nalgene. The 2 piece top is smart, although took a little getting used to. No plastic remains on the bottle when the top is removed completely, so it can be used to boil water in a fire. It''s just a great alternative to the other expensive backpacker bottles out there.

Maxpedition Water Bottle Holder Pouch (14x5, OD Green 0323G)

Maxpedition Water Bottle Holder Pouch, 14x5, OD Green 0323Gi bought this for the perpous for using it as a cook set pouch. i have a primus eta solo stove it fits with enough room for 2 extra canisters of fuel, not that i would carry that much. but its good to know i have that room if i needed it. the extra space will probably filled with a small sponge and a cloth to wash out my pot... it is insulated.

it can hold a two liter or a bottle of wine i have heard. it has d rings, along with a small carry strap on the back. molle attachment points all over it, as well as velcro to put your name or rank or whatever else.

the zipper pouch on the out side has elastic bands to hold things in place. i use it for chop sticks. or other eating utensils.

Over all im very happy with the quality and construction of this product. i think it will serve my needs just fine. although its not really made for it.

Minoura BH-95X Vertical/Horizontal Bottle Cage Holder

Minoura BH-95X Vertical/Horizontal Bottle Cage HolderThis might be the most annoying accessory I''ve tried to add to my bike since 1993. Should mount just fine on the middle hole, but it is nearly impossible to get the holes to line up and get the screw started. I think if your mounting location fits within the smallest setting it might be a lot easier since it comes from the factory pre-bent all nice. But once you flatten then [try to] re-bend the metal band similar to the factory bends, it''s over. I was pretty sure I had it a couple times, but after 30 minutes I was done. I was about to throw my entire bike out the garage window.

Maybe it''s me, but I''d be surprised.. I''ve never had this much trouble with anything (bike-related or not) in my life. If it''s what you need, good luck. I hope you have a better time with it than I. Otherwise I''d look at one of their other styles (the BH100M perhaps), it is a way better design.

P.S. I don''t know where the poor quality remarks are coming from.. The unit is actually made of very good quality materials and seems like it would be pretty durable.

I''ve spent WAY too long trying to get this product secured to my bike without success. The screw is too short, the pieces are very difficult to align, and the metal does scratch up the bike if you don''t use the shim. This product is EXTREMELY poorly designed. However, I can see that IF you''re able to get it on the bike, it would work just fine! Good luck (you''re going to need it).

Definitely would NOT recommend.

Buy Minoura BH-95X Vertical/Horizontal Bottle Cage Holder Now

I just put two of these on my bike. I am satisfied beyond expectations. It can attach to any round-profile object such as a frame tube or handlebar. Diameter can be 22 to 35 millimeters. I put one on my seat tube and one on my handlebars. They hold extremely firmly and seem very likely to cause few or no scratches.

Read Best Reviews of Minoura BH-95X Vertical/Horizontal Bottle Cage Holder Here

To mount this to a bike frame, one must satisfy all of the following constraints:

1. The metal clamp must fit snugly around the frame, and it''s best to protect the frame with a rubber shim.

2. The hole in the metal clamp has to line up with a hole in the plastic mounting piece, and with another hole in the clamp which has screw threads. These items are hidden within the mounting piece and there is no way to align these, not even by feel. Inserting the machine screw that goes through all three holes does not help; the holes are not beveled or relieved in any way, so if the alignment isn''t exact, the screw just won''t get through.

3. It is impossible to establish one alignment between two of the holes and then line up the next one. It has to be done all in one go.

4. That machine screw also has to go through the cage holder attachment, which makes the process even more awkward.

5. The clamp is fragile. Once you bend it to accommodate a particular fit, forget readjusting it, unless you want to risk breaking the clamp.

All this to mount a bottle cage holder to my bike frame? Forget it.

Want Minoura BH-95X Vertical/Horizontal Bottle Cage Holder Discount?

This is an excellent solution for those trying to mount a water bottle on a non-standard frame and/or unusual location. It worked for me but will not work for everyone. The unit was attached to a MTB which has a non-standard, non-cylindrical tube frame and lacks bottle cage braze-ons. The MTB is also dual suspension and thus the cycle body doesn''t accommodate much between the top and down tubes due to large tubing.

I thought it was generally very easy to attach others seem to struggle with their scenarios. The install took less than 5 minutes for the initial BH-95X unit itself and another 5 to bend the metal base-plate of the unit and angle it with the bottle cage. The plastic and metal base-plate of the Minoura is very solid and able to sustain the bending abuse easily.

I really suggest that installers take a moment to review the brief instructions and examine the Minoura unit closely it may save you a lot of unnecessary stress later. The metal band used to secure the holder is thin so you don''t want to keep making unnecessary attempts. The BH-95X packaging includes a soft clear plastic shim *inside* along with instructions the shim is easy to miss and throw away. You will need a shim to avoid scratching.

The BH-95X now holds a Topeak Modula water bottle cage vertically and angled outwards (from the seatpost).

Nalgene Wide Mouth Rectangular Bottle

Nalgene Wide Mouth Rectangular BottleFirst of all the pictures don''t do this item any justice. It''s very, very heavy duty with thick walls and a typical stout nalgene cap. I can close a 300 pound grip exerciser with ease and I can barely make a dent while squeezing this bottle. This thing is tough.

Forget what anyone else says about taste and how they JUST HAD TO switch to stainless steel and all this other crap. I grew up with statistically some of the best tasteless water in the country in Massachusetts, have to filter Colorado water so I don''t taste it, and can''t EVER taste a thing out of this water bottle. That says a lot because I use it every single day all day long, usually refilling it one time per day.

Before buying this I only ever owned round quart size bottles.

I will never buy another round bottle again.

This thing is awesome and doesn''t move not only because of the extra weight from the additional quart of water, but also that it''s recangular and will NEVER roll around.

I have a late model F150 and it even fits IN the doorpanel of my truck perfectly, like it was made for it.

Bottom line, it''s extreme duty thickness, will NOT roll, and for me fits perfectly in my truck. Pretty much the best buy for the money I''ve gotten in a long, long time.

These rectangular bottles arrived quickly, and are perfect for filling 3/4 way with water and putting in the freezer. I use them to keep my lunch cold at work; they''ve proven durable and leak-proof after 6 months of use.

The bottle let''s me insert ice cubes or freeze it with water in it. I bought it for the wide mouth & to have ice in it. It''s sturdy enough to place in the dog''s crate under a towel in this hot weather & helps keep the dog more comfortable! If I could find one larger with the lid on top or towards the end of the top so the dog could lay on it...I''d get one of those also! Thanks for the product.

SIGG .75 Litre Aluminum Bottle Save 10% off

Sigg Wide Mouth Sport Water BottleThis is our favorite on-the-go water bottle because it keeps our water really cold for hours and hours and we love the 3 different ways of drinking out of it. The large opening is great for washing and refilling, the medium opening is a good size for drinking directly out of the bottle, and the sip top is great for quick drinks and it doesn''t easily open up and leak all over our backpack, like some do! Excellent and versatile, I highly recommend!

I have had this bottle for a year and use it on my bike and for the gym. The finish is durable, neither the bottle cage on my bicycle nor being tossed in my backpack has put a scratch on or ding in it. It looks practically new. It does not leave a taste in my drinks as plastic bottles do. I clean it in the dishwasher without any problems. The drinking top works great, makes it easy to drink without spilling and is easy to clean too. Due to the twist lock, I can store carbonated drinks without the risk of the top opening under the pressure, which was always a problem with the standard plastic bottles. Overall, I have no complaints about the handling, design, and quality of the bottle and it looks great too!

Buy SIGG .75 Litre Aluminum Bottle Now

I think this is a great bottle and was just what I was looking for at the gym: great look, large opening to easily mix a pre-workout drink, nice grip, locking tip. The only problem I had was with the tip. I unlocked it once and went to pull it up to take a drink and the entire tip yanked right out. I though it was broken but was able to put the tip back in, but now need to handle it very gingerly. When I''m working out, I''m used to just yanking up the spouts on plastic water bottles, taking a drink and mashing it back down. Never had a problem with the cheap plastic version. I was pretty surprised that this one was so sensitive. (BTW, the cap and spout on this are plastic too)

MY UPDATED REVIEW: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. IT IS DANGEROUS FOR USE AS A DRINKING BOTTLE. This is a piece of junk! I''ve had this for less than a year and yesterdays, the entire baked-on plastic lining peeled of the inside of the body. I was left with plastic shards in my fruit drink mix. This is not only dangerous but is grounds for a lawsuit. There are now toxic pieces of lining coming off in the bottle and it is useless. I will be contacting corporate at Amazon, since they sold it to me. I have sent an email to SIGG and have not yet heard back from them. Someone will be refunding my money for this.

Well, yes, it may seem silly to spend a chunk of change on a water bottle, BUT, I seriously could not find a decent water bottle, not a cheap one, nor even at the $20+ mark. This bottle is GREAT! Wide mouth lid means easy filling. Put the first screw cap on, which fits the wide mouth, and you have a narrow mouth, for guzzling or pouring. Put the second screw cap on, and now it is a sealed unit. Then comes the super cool sports top, built into the second screw cap -it has a variety of options, to click and lock open for nice long pulls of water (which flow super smooth) or unlocked open, for just a single pull of water. Or, push down, turn, and the sport top locks closed for leak-proof seal again. Very clever and well made sport top, LOVE IT! Bottle itself is lightweight, has a good feel in the hand, and does not flavor the water, at all. I did the research on this one, and it beats all the others, for what I was looking for, in a versatile, easy to clean, rugged and robust design. Worth every penny!

Overpriced and cheaply constructed. As a example of the shoddy quality, the interior plastic part of the mug I purchased wasn''t properly affixed to the exterior metal portion: so that, as you attempted to tighten the lid, the inner part would rotate relative to the outer.

This mug looks awesome, however, after we washed it two times and used it once, it fell apart. The plastic insert was screwed into the stainless steel outside portion of the cup and that is where it came apart. Maybe we just received a bad cup, but it looks like poor craftsmanship to me. I was disappointed; my husband really wanted a Michigan travel mug with a handle, and they seem to be quite hard to find.

Nathan Thermal QuickDraw

Nathan Thermal QuickDraw Handheld 22-Ounce Bottle Carrier with PocketI am someone who divides my "run" into part run/jog and part race-walk. When I race-walk my arms swing back and forth by my sides, which makes wearing anything around my waist unworkable as my arms bump into those little bottles on belts. I could use those large Camelbak type bags that go on your back, but I don''t like the idea of something on my back.

These work perfectly, in the sense that they are easy to carry. Because you can adjust the strap that goes around your hand, you don''t have to clench your hand around them and really hold the bottle, as it will stay on your hand even if you hand is loose.

The one negative is that calling this "thermal" is a not realistic: The little bit of padded fabric does almost nothing to keep the water cold, esp as one''s hand is generating heat. IT''s better than being completely exposed, but only just.

What I did that helps is that I wrapped some "meshy stuff" around the bottle and taped it to the bottle. This provides some air pockets and creates a little space between the bottle and the hand, and that helps.

I''d like to see better insulation but I haven''t found anything else of this type that works as well in terms of staying on the hand.

I purchased two of these 5 miles into a 30 mile run. I didn''t know what to expect being it was my first time using hand-held hydration devices and I did have 3 or 4 different options to choose from. What sold me was the bright colors, comfortable grip, the neoprene sleeve and the nozzle (which can be replaced as well).

30 miles later I have no complains. Yes my arms were a little sore but after two weeks of almost daily use, I don''t even notice it. Sometimes I accidently rip the nozzle out when attempting to pop the valve but thats more my own fault than the products. I keep a house key, debit card and insurance card in the pouch but there''s plenty of room for more. On my long runs I soak the neoprene through with sweat which is not a problem. Plus the sweat does not soak through into the storage pocket.

You really can''t go wrong with Nathan products. I''ve used other brands but am finding that Nathan really seems to cater to runner''s. I am a fan.

Polar Thermal Insulated Bottle (12oz., Smiley Face)

Polar Thermal Insulated Bottle - 12oz., Smiley FaceIf I had written this review right after I got it I would have given it two or three stars. To say it is "insulated" is rather a stretch. If you started out with ice water, it would be cool after an hour, assuming it was not too hot outside. So it''s insulation ability is slim. But I ordered it to keep by my bed for the times I wake during the night with a dry mouth and also to take my medication before going to sleep. Having used it for that purpose for some time now, I have grown to like it. I can drink out of it lying flat in bed and it doesn''t drip. It''s a great size-never seen one this small before. It''s cute and it was cheap. It''s easy easy to fill and clean. It has a handy loop to grab hold of it. So, for my purpose I really like it. Just don''t go on a summer bike ride and expect to have cold water when you stop.

H2O4K9, Stainless Steel K9 Water Bottle (9-1/2-Ounce) Save 7% off

H2O4K9, Stainless Steel K9 Water Bottle, 9-1/2-Ounce, Pure StainlessThe good:

-The stainless steel body is very sturdy-even dropping it onto hard pavement resulted in only a tiny, barely noticeable dent.

-It''s a great size and fits perfectly into the Neosling neoprene bottle holder that I bought at the same time.

The bad:

-The top is made out of flimsy plastic that cracked the second time I screwed on the lid. And it''s not like I was using that much force with my tiny lady hands.

-Although the ability to use the top as a bowl is an advantage, the grooves and crevices inside use up much of the bowl space. You can fill it up past that part and it worked OK for my small dog, but it probably wouldn''t offer enough drinking space for a larger dog.

All in all, it''s probably a fine inexpensive bottle for small dogs if you are very careful when tightening the lid, but for me a much better choice turned out to be the Gulpy Jr., which is also available through Amazon.

I had searched for a non plastic dog water bottle for over a year and finally found this one. Our dog actually prefers the lid of this to the plastic bottle with travel bowl. Plus being food grade stainless makes me feel better about keeping it in the car. Although it is still made in China, the company has tested the bottle for metals and chemicals.

I love this water bottle! I bring it everywhere when I take my dog out. The water bottle doesn''t hold much, but it''s just the right size for my chihuahua. It''s nice that the lid turns into a bowl for him to drink out of. I don''t have to bring an extra water bowl. I do wish that the lid had a flat base rather than being indented. When you flip the lid over, the indentation creates a crevice. So it''s hard for my dog to drink out of the lid when the water collects in the crevice. But with one side of the lid being taller, you can easily tilt the lid a little for the dog to drink.

Weaver Clip-On Holsters w/Water Bottle Save 5% off

Weaver Clip-On Holsters w/Water Bottle - BlackOkay so this is a simple little thing, right? ... a clip on water bottle holder. It is what it is, AND I don''t even ride horses (sorry, but I prefer a steering wheel or something with handlebars). So why write a review? ...because I love this thing!

My son is an active multi-sport athlete and I looked for over a year for a water bottle holder that would:

Hold multiple size bottles (including the tall 32oz Gatorade squeeze bottles)

Clip easily on and off of a dugout fence or D-rings on bags

Provide at least a little insulation

Check, check, and check! This simple little, well-made holder is exactly what I needed. The bottle is a cheap, but functional squeeze bottle (never use it in the donation pile), but the awkward Gatorade squeezers slide right in, as do large and small earth-killing disposable water bottles. I bet I have 5 or 6 other holsters and carriers and insulating wraps that are now collecting dust (and also headed for the donation pile) after getting this Weaver holder. I love that I can clip it on a bat bag to carry it to the field, then unclip it and clip it right on the fence or any convenient hanger. I can hang it off the seat bracket on my bike, my backpack, loops on my tent... I recommend this thing to sports folks, campers, hikers, bikers, students, and oh yeah--probably horseback riders, too! Weaver you should expand your marketing. The only complaint is that it is black and therefore draws and transfers a lot of heat to the bottle inside, but the black never looks dirty-it is wearing extremely well and I have no concerns about its durability.

Lifefactory 22-Ounce Beverage Bottle

Lifefactory 22-Ounce Beverage Bottle, Dark BlueI bought this to replace my KOR BPA-free plastic water bottles that broke, which I loved. They cracked at the hinges and one of them also got a coating inside it that was difficult to clean off. I mention the KOR because they were extremely easy to drink from--the opening was just the right size for easy drinking and the hinged top made it easy to manage the bottle--push a button to flip the top off for drinking and no separate top that you have to set down somewhere. So I really loved the design of my KOR bottles and hoped to find something similar in glass. I am not as happy with the design of this bottle, as it is less usable:

Pros:

Silicone sleeve makes it easy to handle and protects from breakage

Bottle, silicone sleeve and top are dishwasher safe

Large opening makes it easy to clean

Ring on cap makes it easy to carry

Fits in large cupholders in cars (not in small ones)

Glass makes it non-toxic and no taste imparted to water

Does not leak

Easy to see in the bottle so you can see the water level and whether it is clean

The bottle is less narrow than the KOR so does not tip over easily as the KOR did (thus leading the KOR to break)

Cons:

Large opening makes it difficult to drink from without spilling on self

The size of the opening, while being large enough to cause spilling, is not large enough to keep from bumping my nose on the other size of it. So my nose is always in the way when I drink from it, particularly as it gets below half full. I find that really frustrating (and yes, I have a large nose, but so do many people...). What I would really like to see is some sort of screw on top that creates a narrower opening for drinking, while still keeping the larger opening below so you can easily clean the bottle--SIGG has some bottles designed like that, which is a great design, however SIGG bottles had BPA in the old linings and the new linings quickly peel off. The company is developing a "sport top" but I don''t know if that will solve the problem. My experience with sport tops on hard water bottles (metal) is that it''s impossible to get enough water to flow out of them because you cannot squeeze the bottle.

The top is tricky to screw on straight--I keep putting it on slightly crooked and then it won''t screw on and I have to unscrew it and get it positioned just right, so it will screw on straight. This is time-consuming and frustrating, compared to the KOR bottle that just has a push button to flip it open and then easily clicks closed. It''s also much trickier than screwing the top on a SIGG bottle--I always found them easy to screw on.

Since the top is not hinged like the KOR, once you take it off, you have to find somewhere to set it down while you drink. Not a big deal if you are at work but if you are on the go, that can be a problem. And it is a large top, so it''s not like you can just slip it in a pocket.

Being glass, it is heavier than plastic bottles, though I am willing to live with that to have non-toxic and taste-free water

It is a bit too large to fit in the water bottle holders of my fanny pack, so I''ve had to buy plastic bottles for that

I have had MANY different types of bottles metal and plastic with different tops: screw top, flip top, spin top, or squeeze top. Overall, while this bottle is heavier than some of the others, it is far superior because you do not taste anything but water, there is no metallic aftertaste or plastic smell. For me, this is the most important thing. I love water but have always hated the weird aftertaste some of the other bottles produce. The large handle at the top makes this easy to carry. Once screwed on, there is no leaking or spilling. The mouth is large and therefore, makes it easy to fill up and drink from. I have yet to drop the bottle so can''t speak to how well the silicon cover protects it. The silicon does help if you put the bottle in the fridge because your hands won''t slip from the condensation.

I have taken this bottle to professional events, to playing tennis, and to the beach and honestly, this is my favorite bottle of all that I have ever owned!

Buy Lifefactory 22-Ounce Beverage Bottle Now

Goodbye stainless steel water bottle. Good riddance plastic bottles. I have searched high and low for alternatives to steel and plastic water bottles. I was ecstatic to see LF offer a good-sized glass bottle and it already included a protective cover; I purchased two. Admittedly, I think the bottles are over-priced. Plus, LF missed the mark by not offering a sports cap with the initial release. For outdoor joggers/runners, I would not recommend this because it''s too heavy. I have used this in a gym but it''s a bit inconvenient. Without the sports cap, I am forced to pause to drink.

These should have been priced at $15 (as is) and $20 (with a regular cap and one sports cap); I would have given this 5-STARS. It also would have been nice if it was 25 ounces as opposed to 22. Ultimately, I doc this a half a star for the high price and another half star for not having a sports cap readily available.

I cannot comment on durability because I have not drop it. Really looking forward to the sports cap being release. On LF''s website you can purchase a 22-ounce bottle without a cap or cover for $8; if Amazon offers, I may buy a few more as standbys.

I ordered the Lifefactory 22-ounce green beverage bottle in early September and absolutely love it!

I have carried water bottles since before Nalgene bottles were cool. As more information came out about plastics that leach into the water, particularly those with BPA, I wanted something where I wouldn''t have that concern. I switched to an unlined stainless steel bottle (Klean Kanteen) and liked everything except that beverages tended to take on a metallic taste and that the bottles (like all I tried except for the double-walled ones) perspired if you had cold beverages in them.

Fast forward to the Lifefactory bottles. I''d heard of them about a month prior and did quite a bit of research, both on Amazon and on the company''s website. The bottles are a fairly thick, high-quality glass that are covered with a grippy silicone sleeve. The top is wide-mouthed with a screw top. The entire thing is dishwasher-safe. (Well, I don''t know about the lid, as I hand-washed it separately.)

The pros:

No BPA to worry about. Glass doesn''t have BPA, nor does it have any of a variety of other chemicals known to leach. This is pretty much inert.

Grippy silicone sleeve offers some protection against breakage and keeps it from slipping out of your hand, even if the bottle is sweaty.

Fully-dishwasher-safe.

Replacements are easily ordered online for bottle (if it breaks) so you can just swap the silicone sleeve.

Can see what you''re drinking

The cap is secure and the loop is comfortable to hold, even when the bottle is full.

Awesome looking water bottle.

The cons:

Glass breaks. The silicone sleeve helps, and I''ve dropped this from counter height onto carpet without problems.

Glass is heavier than plastic. And also than metal. (Or it is in order to have thick glass.)

After using 27 and 32 ounce bottles, this one seems small, and a bit of an awkward size. (Though it does have measuring guides on the side if you want to use a powder packet designed for a 16 ounce bottle.)

Honestly, I love the bottle and have gotten a ton of compliments on it. Enough so that I bought a navy one at a local retailer. (Price with tax was about the same as price here with free shipping.) Also, I think Lifefactory plans to come out with 16 ounce bottles later this month (October 2010,) which I think is perhaps a more versatile size than 22 ounce. At any rate, excellent product.

UPDATE 2/2012:

I still use my spring green Lifefactory bottle regularly, on a nearly daily basis. After nearly a year and a half, here''s what I''ve learned.

The bottle is SOLID. I''ve dropped it from waist height and higher (3.5 to 4 feet) several times and it hasn''t broken; the glass is still pristine, the silicone sleeve has scuffed, but that rubs right off. The plastic lid does scratch if you drop it onto pavement, but Lifefactory sells replacement lids. I haven''t gotten one, as the bottle still looks great and the lid is still leak-free and functional.

I have also added a gray 16 ounce bottle to the collection and it''s a great product, too. The same goes for the 9-ounce bottles, which I use for milk or juice in lunches or for to-go breakfast. I would unhesitatingly recommend this bottle.

I love this bottle. I feel confident knowing I am drinking from a safe container because it is glass. The silicone sleeve is great and really does protect it from breaking. It fell over while I had it sitting on a concrete bench at the beach and it did not break. The top seals tightly, I don''t need to worry about having it lie on it''s side in my bag.

I have one suggestion for Lifefactory make a lid that is also a cup. Something phthalate-free that screws on as a top but you can also pour water into and drink from. I love that this bottle holds 22 oz, but it is heavy to hold against the face while drinking especially while walking at the same time.

I think this product is great and own 5 of them for my husband and myself alone. My son is not bottle-fed, but if he were, this company''s baby bottles are the ones I''d chose.
