I started using an aluminum water bottle at work to cut down on my production of waste plastic from using disposable water bottles. I like really cold water, so I added ice to the conventional aluminum water bottle. The problem is that this produced huge amounts of condensation, making small puddles on my desk. I bought this bottle to eliminate the condensation. It works great as a water bottle and keeps my water ice cold all day. I am very satisfied with its performance. It also has a nice, professional look, so it does not look out of place in the office.
I like it because it is made of good quality stainless and plastic.

The black trim at the top is soft plastic and the entire cage is clean and sharp looking. Bottles fit firmly with a good solid click as the top tab locks in to hold. They come with screws. Bottom line, I am going to ordered 4 more. These are half the cost of a brand name plastic version and should last a lot longer.

Stopper leaked off and on. At times it would somehow not screw down straight and was leaving a loopsided angle where the stopper meets the neck of the bottle. Though slight, the gap was enough to make the stopper leak off the top, where liquid can be dispensed without taking off the stopper. I also had a hard time putting the stopper back together when I took off the dispensing piece and tried to screw it back on. I returned the bottle and I would recommend some other brand.

I''ve used this pak for about 6 weeks now and am very frustrated with it. The elastic strap increases the bounce which is the last thing a runner needs. A side effect of the bounce is that the pak becomes loose so, as a result, constant adjustments are needed as I run. It''s constructed well and may be great for hikes and such but it''s not for runners who want a bounce free run. My solution I cut the strap off and replaced it with a non stretch strap. Now it works as good as my wife''s pak no problems.

I''ve been using this pack for over a year, and I use it begrudgingly because I need water on my long runs. But I always assumed all water packs will have some sort of bounce, but My Main Gripe are the straps!!My waist size is 28, and the straps are TOOO LONG, I have so much extra strap folding over its quite ridiculous. There isn''t any way to make the extra strap flush against it. Its very annoying and it scratches my arms as I run.
To minimize Bounce if you put it higher on your back, instead of your hips, it holds more flush against your back, and doesn''t bounce as much. But I''d like to find a water pack that I can carry oh my hips instead of my lower back.
oh and the bottle it comes with leaks.I am training to run a 1/2 marathon and needed a way to carry more than a few ounces of water, some nutrition packets and keys and an ID. This is perfect. When I start out with the bottle full it moves some but not excessive. As the bottle gets emptied I don''t notice it at all. I have not used the 5 ounce bottle yet, I just carry packets of Gel in the pocket. Belt is fully adjustable from big to small and is just a bit stretchy. I look forward to many more miles with this product.

Pros: finger hole in cap makes it easy to carry; large size reduces frequency of refilling; leak proof. Cons: expensive, makes a loud clang if bumped with something metal (like a key); bottom too large to fit in vehicle cup holder; need a bottle washer to clean sufficiently; interior bottom rusted. I purchased the Klean Kanteen to hold drinking water at my office desk. I was very satisfied and felt justified with its cost UNTIL I noticed the interior bottom has rusted after two years of use. I am replacing with BPA-free plastic.

I like this cap very much, as it does not require me to keep a small carabiner on it that rattles around all day like my original SIGG cap did. Also, I am known for accidentally leaving my SIGG bottles capped for weeks at a time. With the original SIGG caps, this results in a permanent black moldy/mildew substance in the rubber gasket that stinks badly. I have tried everything from bleach to boiling water and nothing will remove it. This UCO cap uses a different gasket that seems to keep this from happening in the first place. The cap is awkward to use, though, because of the excessive number of threads. It literally takes twice as many turns to put the cap on as compared to the original SIGG cap. I take these bottles everywhere, and in business meetings taking the cap on/off my bottle draws attention because I''m sitting there cranking on it for what seems like a long time.
The cap was also flawed the metal clip was installed crooked and would not line up to close.

Glass Hydration Decanter Carafe Sport Bottle
Purchased this Glass Hydration Decanter as alternative to plastic drinking bottles. Also purchased Ello PURE 20-oz Glass Water Bottle with Silicone Sleeve (see comparison notes at end of review).Pros:
very nice looking,
good size (holds enough for good size drink, so you will not have to constantly refill and is not too top heavy to tip over easily vs. the larger/taller size glass bottles)
fits well in std car cup holder (about the same diameter as a soda can, so if soda cans fit well in your cup holder, this decanter will too)
super wide mouth opening (makes for easy no-spill refills at water fountain, sparklets water cooler, soda fountain, etc.)
Cons:
Lid fits tightly and does not leak when properly screwed on. However, threads are very tight and somewhat finicky. Must use 2 hands to screw lid back on properly (one hand to hold decanter and one hand to screw on lid). Not sure why, but some containers I can get the lid screwed on using just one hand, which is very handy when driving. So this decanter not as convenient when driving.
Super wide mouth sometimes let''s too much liquid out when drinking (you get dribbles down side of your mouth). Somewhat operator error (me trying to chug), but slightly disadvantageous at times.
BIGGEST ISSUE: Description does NOT say BPA FREE, NON-LEAD glass, approved for food use. After I received the decanter, decanter says "Made in China" with no other markings. I did not realize it until I got my other glass bottle (Ello bottle) and Ello bottle had all sorts of BPA-free, lead-free, FDA approved Food-Grade glass type descriptions. Made me wonder if this decanter is same quality level (especially the FDA approved for Food use)!!
The whole point of getting a glass decanter was to avoid chemicals in plastic. Not sure if this glass decanter meets that objective. The selling company is Simply Green Solutions, so you assume it is "green", but nowhere in description or on decanter does it say BPA free, lead free, approved for food use, etc. Lack of disclaimers and "made in China" are somewhat worry some. Note I am not bagging on China manufacturing (they make some great stuff and some junk). However, in China they have different safety standards and this decanter may or may not meet USA FDA approval for food use.
So based on safety concerns, only 2 stars (although it functions very well as a decanter, just not sure if great for food).
Side note: Also purchased the Ello PURE 20-oz Glass Water Bottle with Silicone Sleeve from Amazon. Ello is not a pretty as this glass decanter, but has silicon sleeve (helps prevent cracking or chips), wide mouth, and meets FDA and California Prop65 standards (Lead & Cadmium free), BPA free, etc. per description (assume they are not lying??).
So until safety concerns cleared up (which vendor may clarify at some point in the future), I would purchase the Ello again instead.

I ordered two of these bottles, one each blue and green cap. They come really handy for taking my fresh juiced veggies to work for lunch. The seal is tight, leakproof and easy to clean. I did order a bottle brush which really helps in the cleaning of the bottles. Love this bottle! I have spent so much money on plastic bottles: normal bottles, wide-mouth bottles, bottles with filters, you name it. But no matter how little or how much I spent, they would always get that "plastic" taste to them. This bottle is amazing because when I drink out of it, I taste...nothing! Which is exactly what I want to taste when I''m drinking water. The mouth is very wide, but I haven''t had a problem drinking from it. The cap screws on very securely. I throw it in my work bag in the morning, and it has never leaked a single drop. It is made from thick glass, so I''m sure it is very durable, but I would be careful not to drop it. Very well-made.

No need to return the cracked cups, which was convenient. The seller replaced the damaged items.I do like the cups. They''re plastic, so obviously, not indestructible. They are great for kids and I like that they are reusable.
I don''t wash them in the dishwasher. I think the heat can crack them. My kids love them. They use them everyday. They are espcially great to use by their beds at night since they have the lid. I would recommend this item.

We ordered these cups for our kids to use but they are not kid proof at all! If they are dropped even from my 18 month old''s height the inside liner and outside will come apart. I have had three of these cups come apart already and there is no hope in repairing them. I tried super glue but it never makes a water tight seal again and fluid will get in between the two layers. The customer service was good as they shipped the wrong number of lids and straws but replaced them quickly (although they did not send the right color replacements).
